I got the canadian Pancakes with bacon, cinnamon sugar and pure maple syrup with a Belgian hot chocolate; and it was absolutely delicious! Two things I would improve, is 1 the amount of Syrup on it, although that's really a preference, it wasn't really enough. And 2, you guys could really sharpen your cutlery, it took me ages to cut the bacon I really really liked the food so thank you!
This place is always busy, but don't let that dampen your opinion. The staff are always super friendly. They remember you after only a few visits and never mistake an order. The food is high quality! Locally sourced produce with the combination of very capable chefs make every meal delightful. The prices may seem a tad steep but they are very reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. Did I forget to mention the coffee.. Everything I have mentioned is shadowed by the excellence of their barista Johnny. This man makes coffee so perfectly it makes you weep. Yes I actually wept on one occasion There is nothing negative about this Cafe. They openly welcome dogs also. Well done
I’m on the way from Sydney to Melbourne, so I decided to have coffee in this small town. And I found this place which is so nice, I got coffee and french toast. It was an amazing food with friendly staff, , if you came to this town don’t passing it without having some things from here.
Scrambled creamy eggs on the toast with my favourite homemade tomato chutney. Yummy . Great coffee too
Lovely coffee, really friendly staff and gorgeous food. The toasties are huge so be prepared to deconstruct
We have been coming here for a while, always had great service and awesome food until recently. I presume change of ownership? We ordered two toasties strait off the menu with no changes. We waited 40 minutes when the incorrect order was brought to our table. Our order hadn’t yet been made. We informed the staff we couldn’t wait anymore and left without our order. There was plenty of servers walking around not actively waiting tables so I can’t say they were run off their feet. Pretty disappointing for somewhere that did have a great reputation.
Had a great experience. Tried their breakfast toastie and it was delicious. The egg and bacon were perfectly cooked and had the perfect amount of lettuce. The kids had Canadian pancakes and they enjoyed it every single bite of it. Great little cafe. The price is good as well considering how expensive things are Now a days. Will definately be back
Coffee was good and the staff were friendly but our order took over half an hour because they were doing a large take away. Would have been good to have been told we would have a long wait when we ordered as one of us had a plane to catch. The food was very stingy for the price. Two small eggs on one small piece of sour dough toast for the price is terrible value. Wouldn't cost you guys much extra to do 2 bits of toast surely. Won't be back. Ps. The reply to this says we were informed of the delay when we ordered. Not true. We were only told after about 25 minutes. If we had been told when we ordered, we would have gone elsewhere.
Ordered the Canadian pancakes and there was a drizzle of Maple syrup around the outside of the plate, not on or under the pancakes, as other pictures suggest in other reviews. I asked for a little more Maple syrup to pour over the top and was told that there was an extra charge of $3.50 for a small sauce dish 20gms max of Maple syrup. The waitress said that the chef said they don't pour it over the top as the pancakes get soggy. All the pancakes I've had have always had the syrup over the top, or in a little jug you can pour over yourself. Pancakes were tasty, but the small amount of syrup sparingly dribbled around the rim of the plate wasn't enough to enjoy. The waitress was lovely who served us. The owners need to rethink the extra $3.50 for a dribble of sauce.
Awesome atmosphere with delicious food. It was blessing to find cafe which serves authentic flavour tea . Breakfast serving is big and we love the bread with mushrooms and mouthwatering chutney. Well done early bird cafe and keep it up. Will definitely come back.
