Story

Aharn Thai was opened by Peter and Suree Thanissorn in November 2014.

The original doyen of Thai cuisine in Adelaide, Peter opened S.A.'s first Thai restaurant, the Bangkok Restaurant in Regent Arcade in 1979. He relocated to Rundle Street in 1985, and in 1999 paired up with wife Suree to trade as Suree's Thai on Unley Road.

Suree, a refugee of Pol Pot and the notorious Khmer Rouge, survived as a chef plying her trade in various safe havens and refugee camps in Thailand prior to migrating to Australia.

Together, they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience; and passion for authentic, traditional Thai cuisine to their diners.

Great food & portions.
Tried this place for the first time - WOW! The green chicken curry was so tender and had the best flavour! Good heat to it too. The pad Thai... yep, winner. I’ll certainly be returning!
We absolutely love this place. Beautiful, authentic Thai food. Subtle, fresh and so delicious. The menu has lovely variety but the pad Thai and green curry are always a hit, as is the fresh mango, sticky rice and coconut ice cream. The service is fabulous too. Do yourself a favour and check out this little hideaway!
Sensational food, fresh as. Great service, very welcoming and fairly quick too. Easy parking too. Hard to name favourite dish, but maybe the duck salad.
