This place has been around for such a long time I remember the time when I was an awkward teenager trying to buy me some pies because the pies are always tasty, no matter what flavour you're getting. Now I've come back as an awkward 35 year old and the pies are still as good as I remembered - soft pastry, heavy flavoursome filling, one may not be enough. The donuts are an absolute bomb here too, but make sure you come on your cheat day.
I’d say skip the pies, go straight to the doughnuts. Absolutely delicious, fluffy, slightly chewy, with good amount of filling. Empty on a weekday morning other than the occasional parent and their child. Lovely bakery to sit in and people watch. Wish I had more space in my tummy for more of their sweets!!
Ok bakery to stop at if in the area or on the way to one of the sights lighthouse / cave / MR. We saw a lot of good reviews for the bakery and was excited to try but honestly we were pretty disappointed. We did arrive close to closing time so that could be some of the reason but overall I would just say this is an average bakery. The meat pie was super salty and gelatinous inside. The muffin was a bit dry and the caravel slice was just sweet. There was nothing overly impressive and there are other cafes in the area with good items so I personally wouldn’t come back.
Very tasty, they definitely don't skimp on the filling here! The baked goods aren't snacks but a very filling meal.
The Dunsborough Bakery is under new ownership and the place has made a huge comeback!! Beautiful fresh pastries, pies, huge continental rolls, yummy fruit salad cups, super fresh breads and cakes and really good coffee too. They also have a great vegan raw cake section in their cabinet so cater to varied diets. Courtney and Lina are super friendly and have returned the Dunsborough Bakery to its former glory! Five stars all the way!!
We brought the mega, over priced chicken salad rolls, stuffed with way too much cheese to a point we both felt unwell after eating them. Sadly no sandwiches were available and we didn't feel like a pie. Service was fine.
We always stop into the Dunsborough Bakery for their famous pies. The service is always fast and friendly here and the pies are full of chunks of steak. There are a few fillings available like chicken and vegetables, pepper steak, steak and mushroom, steak cheese and bacon, curry beef etc. Also drinks, coffee, sandwiches, sausage rolls, croissants and other baked goods.
Tass’s bakery, was busy, understandably. It was holidays which meant crowds, but they had plenty of staff so service didn’t take too long. And the pies, pasties. Sausage rolls and iced buns were spot on. Flaky pastry, chunky, saucy fillings and full of flavour. Pastie and sausage roll fillings can sometimes be a let down, but not here.
3.30pm on a Sunday, bakery shuts at 5.00. came in for coffee and cake. Owner? couldn't even be bothered looking up from his phone replies to younger salesperson. 'not doing coffee's. would have understood if he bothered to apologise that the coffee machine was shut down for the day, rudest experience on our WA holiday. hopefully the last.
Went to the bakery today with my wife. Was excited to show off the region I grew up in. We ordered a chicken salad roll - the sango had no chicken in it at all… was too late to go back and complain as we had headed off for a picnic. My wife had a sausage roll.. was average at best. Two ice coffee’s were superb as were the cakes. Just quality control on the sango was a disappointment..
