Dundee's at the Cairns Aquarium

I fell in love with this restaurant both the Waterfront and Aquarium side. I highly recommend this place when you visit Cairns. There's something about the vibe, I can't explain it but it's a welcoming one. The food is great, prawn and scallop pasta, seafood tower and soft shell crab is a must try. Cocktails are recommended. The dessert will be shown to you on a display tray and the staff will tell you what it is and then serve you a fresh, garnished plated one.

The service was great and food fantastic. The seafood platter, cocktails and desert was the best part of it. I would rate 4.5 stars if I could, only because the pork belly and steak dishes were slightly over cooked and harder than normal, yet still tasted great. Thanks for having us.

Walked in here randomly for dinner. Absolutely impressed by the food and service. Steak was cooked to perfection, and has surpassed many steaks eaten in Brisbane. Service was super quick for drinks and food. When dessert menu was requested a ‘dessert tray’ was instead brought around which was amazing. Fantastic view with fish aquarium inside also. Very keen to eat back here again for a great experience!

I absolutely loved my time here. I booked well in advance and asked for a table near the tank. Much to my excitement, we were seated near the tank. The meals arrived quickly but there was no pressure to eat hurriedly. The restaurant was helpful when checking to see if a certain dish contained allergens. My only critique would be that the chilled seafood trio bowl had a huge amount of lettuce that wasn't eaten. The seafood was among the freshest and best I have had. The waiters were also helpful and understanding when I accidentally spilt my drink and broke a glass.

Fantastic location, customer service and delicious coffee! While traversing through Cairns we stopped in here for a hit of caffeine, and boy am I glad we did. This establishment does it well. The staff were friendly and the aquarium wall offers an interesting backdrop and conversation piece for your meal. Dundee's offers a varied menu to cater to most including meals for children.

Very pretty setting, dining by the open fish tank. Food delicious. Staff nice. Quite pricey but good value. Licensed. Easy ground level access, surrounded by beautiful gardens. Not overly noisy either, so easy to hear! We all enjoyed our meals very much, meats and seafood and deserts

Very cool restaurant at Cairns Aquarium. Very good food and awesome dining area with a massive aquarium with over 50 tropical fish. Had a rib eye steak - delicious. Dessert was a tasty trifle. Yummo Good service. Highly recommended restaurant in Cairns. Prices are other cheap but very good quality

Absolutely fantastic! The staff are incredible and the food is to die for. We had the bugtail & mango salad, soft shell crab and a chocolate cheesecake. Great portion sizes, the food tastes amazing and we got seated in front of the tank as it was our honeymoon! Couldn’t recommend it more a must dining experience.

Excellent service and food. I really appreciated the gluten free range and the obvious care taken. Eating sitting facing the big fish tank was just a great bonus. Would recommend and especially for celiacs.

Interesting location being attached to the aquarium. Decent food and service. Wish there were more tables for 2 closer to the big fish tank. Had a 3 course meal with drink as part of the twilight by aquarium package. Good value for the experience.
