A platter at Ducketts Mill was on the agenda for us after a visit to the Tree Top Walk in Walpole and it didn’t disappoint. I shared The Vineyard platter with my daughter and it was a huge platter that we couldn’t finish it all. Everything was nice, the cheese a bit milder in flavour, the bread was delicious but the pear was the standout for us! The 2020 Shiraz Cabernet went down a treat on the cold afternoon and was perfect to enjoy in the gorgeous outdoor seating, with lots of beautiful flowers in bloom. We took some bags of chocolate and finished the entire Milk Choc Coated Pretzels on the journey - both agreed they were the best choc coated pretzels we’ve tried, seriously good. Buy an extra bag because one won’t make it home.
Visited Denmark from Perth recently. Was not aware of the Ducketts Mill and actually got a recommendation from our house host. This was one of the best experiences we had on this trip. Staff were very hospitable and the Farmhouse had some great cheese, chocolate and wine options. We actually came here twice; once for a visit and then for lunch. I had the Turkish Ultimate Toastie which was one of the BEST burgers/toasties I've tried. Very reasonable prices for all food options. If you ever visit Denmark, this is definitely a place you should check out!
Had a lovely brunch here with the family and our lil furry man. Platter was amazing. Sausage rolls yummy, the continental roll was sooo good! Was way too much to finish, thankfully the lovely lady at the counter offered a take away container. Perfect for the puppy, and lots to buy on the way out. Put this place on the to do list if your in the area for sure.
Great spot for a overnight, owners very friendly and accommodating. Out look from the camp area is fantastic, beautiful grass and overlooking the vineyard. Must be self contained. Definitely worth another visit. Campsite is relatively flat, it is a fully operational vineyard
Call into here after visiting The Elephant Rocks, Greens Pool and Madfish Bay to replenish our energy stocks. We had the Lemon Curd and Raspberry Cheesecake, this was a huge serve even as a to share portion with a couple of Flat white Coffees, Takeaways were Reuben Sandwich to share and also purchased several selections of the many home made cheeses. This was probably the best part of our day in Denmark and the courteous staff completed the day. Thank you so much
What great place to spend a Saturday afternoon. Our friends highly recommended this place and they weren't wrong about it. We had a mixed platter to start with, then a couple of hours later we had a hamburger and a Rubine sandwich. There were disabled toilets, but steps to enter the place. Maybe out the back you could enter if you were in a wheel chair. Plenty of parking and they were very quick with their service. Tables cleared and sanitised when someone left. There are a range of choc, cheeses icecream and dessert you can buy to take home. We will visit again when we come back this way.Thankyou for a very pleasurable afternoon.
Not too far out of Denmark town, I think worth the visit. Very large selection of cheese, meats and chocolates. We don’t really drink so only came to taste the cheese, we ended up with the platter for 2 at $22, which was nice enough. Absolutely loved the Havarti chilli garlic and sun dried tomato fromage. We bought both and some meats. I also enjoyed the blue cheese, which I usually dislike. Theirs is quite mild and enjoyable. The lady behind the counter came across quite snobby however didn’t deter us from enjoying the visit.
Tasting plate was all time, great little selection. Blue cheese, washed rind, late harvest Riesling, SB. Standouts off my plate IMO Pate and Taurine we’re delicious. Friendly service.
We saw all of these lovely platters and were also super excited to try one but were then disappointed when ours was not the same. So recommend to read the menu options more thoroughly than what we did. But all in all a nice pitstop with a nice view.
Perfect place for a casual lunch. Their sandwiches are fabulous. You bought also some cheese for our dinner. There is small portion so you can easily make a cheese platter for 2, with some pâté. We tried their dark chocolate pretzels, they are delicious !
