Lovely Japanese gardens. Not the biggest botanical gardens but a great place to take photos. Also pond with the biggest koi. Bonus the gardens is next a large playground which my daughter could spend hours at.
The Japanese garden is the only nice thing in this garden. There’s not much to explore and for a botanical garden this is quite small.nnThere’s not much flowers or other things to see. There’s an adventure park for kids next to it.nnFree entrance to the garden
We visited the Shoyoen Japanese Garden, which forms part of the Botanical gardens. It was beautiful. The gardens are well maintained, and there are some interesting trees and plants. The small lake is idyllic with its little waterfall, birdlife and Koi fish. There is a replica Japanese house which can be viewed from the outside. There is no charge to explore the garden which provides a restful retreat, particularly for tourists such as my wife and I. I recommend finding the time to spend an hour at these beautiful gardens.
Very nice gardens, the Japanese and Sensory gardens are very well manicured and look amazing. There are huge Koi fish in the ponds of the Japanese garden. Not a big garden but very beautiful nonetheless. Well worth a visit while in Dubbo.
Beautiful free attraction. Really well looked after with so many aspects of the gardens to look at. Very easy to walk around even with someone elderly with a walker. We visited in April but could easily see the hard work getting ready for spring. A wide range of bird life and a huge parking area. There are public bathrooms in the wonderful park located right next to the gardens.
