First time at the restaurant, First impressions were great, outdated, but it still felt like a great restaurant. Food was fantastic. It felt like the food was fresh and was filling. Just a little over the expensive side but rewarding.
Ordered takeaway in person. Food was lukewarm by time I got up the road. Veggies were too chunky. Broccoli and cauliflower florets almost the size of my fist. Ginger pieces like potato chips. U really gotta like ginger to order the beef with ginger and shallots. Lemon sauce for lemon chicken served cold.
Been coming here for 34 years and loved the food so much. Had it for dinner tonight and what a disappointment. Spring rolls half the size and maybe had a paste or something in it. No sweet and Sour sauce offered. Fried rice was strange one small prawn and some sliced ham in it. Honey chicken was also horrible as there was no honey on it. Mongolian beef was full of onions, they must be cheap. It was tasteless. Pork spare ribs in BBQ sauce, another disappointment. Garlic scallops were full of onions and 8 small scallops. Such a disappointment containers only half full. Will not return here any time soon
Moved here from inner city Brisbane & thought would try our local Chinese considering was avg about 4 stars on google. Maybe were good in their hay day but we ordered take away just before their Xmas shutdown in person - Our food was all shocking quality. Portions abysmal for the money spent. Nothing authentic in the Chinese at all. Game needs to be lifted in what deliver, We won’t be back.
We've been coming to Dragon Garden for at least the last 10 years and it has always been consistent, friendly and generous with their servings and quality. I'm not sure if its due to rising costs or new ownership but in the past few months the quality has taken a huge dive. There is less and less in every serve, they've removed favorites from the menu and the taste and quality is nowhere near what it was. I just counted the amount of meat in a combo chow mien and there is about 6 pieces of chicken and beef in there, no pork and it doesn't taste anywhere near as good. There is also shrinkage in servings of dimsims from 4 to 3 and crispy noodles are less than a handful in a serve. Very sad to see this restaurant go this way, it was the best Chinese around Ipswich and we used to drive 30 mins to get to it.
What a disappointment of a restaurant, we went with my church group, we ordered a banquet of five oh my God, it’s like food prepared by a 5years old. Mongolian beef 4 pieces of meat filled with fried onions and capsicum , the worse thing is I found a long hair in the chicken soup, I raised it up with a staff member nothing was done and guess what I found another piece of hair in another dish of chicken mixed with vegetables. My church approached the other staff who was the manager on duty about it , she didn’t care tried all her ways and denied while everyone on our table saw the hair I was not happy with her and food expensive for nothing, didn’t even get closer to a banquet, instead made me pay , I will never recommend that restaurant it’s 1 out of 5, I regretted paying my $108 for family. I left the restaurant with pain and bleeding in my heart , I could have taken the photos of both incidents Don’t bother to go and eat there. Parking: A lot of parking space
OMG ..I don't usually tip..but gladly gave a tip for these guys..the food is amazing..I have the sizzling king prawns...gets busy but that would be expected for this place. Probably would need to book or they do takeaway..can't wait to get a chance to get back..
Great food, fantastic service and reasonably priced. Family friendly as well.
Food was good though smallish portions. Spring rolls and crab soup were tasty.
Ordered $75 of takeaway. Containers only 3/4 full, very little honey on the honey chicken and then dried noodles took up half the container, sweet and sour pork was only half cooked and soggy and carrots must have been cheap as that was the only vegetable in the Szechuan beef. Forgot our special fried rice and we had to go back and ask for it. Fried rice was nice, but asked and paid for a large and only received a small, under packed container. Overall a very disappointing experience for our first and only trip there, cannot recommend, sorry.
