I could not recommend Dr Shammas highly enough! She was my OB for my first child and got me through my pregnancy, labour and delivery in a safe and successful way. She managed issues throughout my pregnancy and kept me informed of the risks and benefits of all options. I never felt pressured to make a decision one way or another. She was professional, warm, easy to speak to and always available/responsive - even when I emailed her random questions throughout the pregnancy. Her receptionist Hilda was always very kind and helpful in gathering these answers and was a friendly face at each appointment. Dr Shammas’ management of my labour and delivery was particularly exceptional - I am confident I would not have had the vaginal delivery I was hoping for had it not been for her expertise and ‘magic touch’. On behalf of my husband and I, thank you again for everything you have done for us and our beautiful baby boy. I will be back for all my future pregnancies, God willing.
Sometimes you meet people and it feels as though you've known them for years, that's Dr Shammas's charm. She is the best of the BEST. Her level of care and communication is second to none, alongside her charismatic and bubbly personality, I would strongly recommend her services to everyone. I came to her for antenatal care for my third pregnancy and I can honestly say, the standard between her and my previous obstetrician was much greater. You would think because I have gone through pregnancy before that I wouldn't need much guidance, however I found that through every stage she thoroughly walked me through all the fine details, everything she was doing and everything I needed to know. Never have I felt more prepared for something that is quite difficult to prepare for. An example of this was my baby was in a posterior fetal position, she informed me of this and provided methods to try to get her to turn. In my first pregnancy, my son was born in the posterior fetal position and I was never told he was facing this way or ways I could have encouraged him to turn pre-labour. My labour time for this pregnancy was also only 2hrs and 10mins, everything escalated fast from my first contractions and although I was concerned Dr Shammas wasn't going to make it, surely enough there she was, reassuring me the entire time and delivered my healthy baby girl and made sure I was heard and taken care of. She saw me twice at the hospital post pregnancy and I have an appointment scheduled for 6 week check-up appointment from now which was not the case with my previous obstetrician. If you are considering Dr Shammas for antenatal care, please go ahead, I assure you will be taken care of by the best! :
Dr. Shammas was my OB during my first pregnancy. It is evident she takes great pride in what she does as she made me feel comfortable each visit and answered all my questions and concerns knowledgably. In addition, her practice is always very clean and welcoming, with Hilda being a great asset to the practice. While being covid positive, Dr. Shammas delivered my healthy baby boy with ease and really went above and beyond in making sure I was listened to and taken care of. She truly is one of a kind and I was very fortunate to have her in my journey. I am looking forward to future pregnancies with Dr. Shammas and would not hesitate in recommending her to others.
Dr Shammas really made me feel comfortable!! This is a massive thing. She is professional, passionate about her job and is really kind. During the birth of my daughter she made me feel so calm and it was the best thing in the world having someone there that I trusted! Giving you all the information. Dr Shammas has been my Dr for one year now. I have always got the enough time with her in every visit, and I have been always feeling very happy and comfortable after listening to her advices and talks. Dr Shammas was my OB when I fell pregnant with my first child. I live 20 km from Dr Shammas’ office and would travel further just for her care. During our appointments Dr Shammas was predominately on time, she was always clear and transparent. I always left feeling assured and informed. During my pregnancy I had a few concerns/complications Dr Shammas acted promptly, returning my calls, made recommendations and was very reassuring. I have high respect for Dr Shammas, she treated me with compassion, is patient, professional, very knowledgeable, caring, kind and not condescending like some doctors. Dr Shammas works very well in a high pressure situations. I had emergency caesarean which Dr Shammas urgently acted upon and she operated and delivered my beautiful healthy and happy baby girl. My incision/scar is tiny, recovery was easy. Dr Shammas’ pre and post delivery care was amazing. Dr Shammas’ office is easily accessible by car and public transport, on-site parking, with excellent staff. Thank you Hilda, you also played a part in my experience. Both my partner and I are grateful to Dr Shammas for her exceptional care and support. She came highly recommended and we sincerely highly recommend her. I have an emotional attachment to Dr Shammas, she made my first pregnancy such a beautiful experience. Thank you Dr Shammas, you make me want to have 10 more babies for you to deliver.
I have been seeing Dr Shammas for the last 9 years, she has delivered 3 of my children and done other surgeries for me and looked after all my needs. I have always had high risk pregnancies and my most recent was the hardest of them all, Dr shammas is truly one of a kind, I trust no other doctor I refuse to go anywhere else. It's so rare to find a doctor like her.
If you are considering seeing Dr Shammas, GO FOR IT 1000%. I decided to see Dr Shammas after being with my old doctor for 5 years and seeing no improvement. After less than a month of seeing Dr Shammas, I am extremely happy with my results and service provided. Dr Shammas demonstrated extreme professionalism and compassion for me and my case. Before even recommending surgery she conducted her own research for OVER a week of her personal time by calling up multiple doctors, contacting multiple hospitals and specialist to obtain my history and provide the best possible outcome. She even went as far as to recommend other doctors who may be able to assist Not once, when I’ve seen her has she even rushed me and always aims to fully explain everything to her patients and answers any questions. I could not recommend Dr Shammas more, she is absolutely awesome at her job and is a lovey woman. Dr Shammas was extremely supportive throughout my whole pregnancy. I never felt rushed during my appointments. Dr Shammas is very professional and very knowledgeable. I will definitely be going back for my next pregnancy God willing. Let’s not forget the wonderful staff at Dr Shammas practice.
