Very disappointing, felt very dismissed and unheard. After several visits with him and no answers I saw another specialist for second opinion and was diagnosed with Dysautonmia POTS. Occipital Neuralgia, CCI cranio cervical instability.
Dr Peter Patrikios is absolutely perfect with his professional attitude and knowledge as a neurologist. He is articulate, listens, treats his patients with kindness and equality. If he can’t offer assistance in his field he will refer you to the correct specialist than can assist. His receptionist Denise is very welcoming and friendly. Words can’t express my gratitude to Dr Patrikios for everything he has done for me with my ongoing health ailments that need regular attention. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs to be treated by a neurologist. Dr Patrikios is in my opinion and experience is the best neurologist on the Sunshine Coast/Queensland.
Knowledgeable, authentic, and very funny. Dr Patrikios takes the time to listen and to explain. He does not patronise or dismiss concerns. A rare find in today’s health system.

The WORST neuro I have ever seen in my life. Condescending, gave terrible advice, told me if I fix my “migraines” I will fix my stroke symptoms, so didn’t actually give me any advice on how to properly fix my migraines or issues that were going on also prescribed me medication that made my stroke symptoms WORSE and that I shouldn’t have ever been on?!?! Saw another neurologist who was 100x better who ACTUALLY helped. Do not recommend. This “doctor” only cares about getting your money and not about the actual patient or your health. Disgusting.
I saw Dr Patrikios in December 2016. He said very little about what I described about my symptoms and simply referred me to a Brisbane Hospital Epilepsy clinic as a category 1 patient, which means you should be seen in 30 days. The clinic told me I would be seen some time in the next 12 months when I contacted them. I contacted Dr Patrikios's office and told them this but they had no comment to make. I arranged for a referral to a COMPETENT Brisbane neurologist who listened to the same things I had told Dr Patrikios, immediately diagnosed what was wrong with me, and started me on a drug which has solved the problem. I was contacted by the clinic Dr Patrikios referred me to, 13 months after his referral. I don't believe Dr Patrikios knows what he is doing.
I consulted Dr Patrikios today. He took my symptoms seriously enough to schedule further tests, to try and unravel what has been troubling me most of my life. Which is more than any other neurologist has bothered to do here on the sunshine coast. I am very happy he will be helping me with a diagnosis.
I see Dr Patrikios at the MS clinic in RBWH I have very recently diagnosed relapse remitting multiple sclerosis. Dr patrikios has a great bedside manner, he is friendly warm and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Dr patrikios he has been great throughout the diagnostic process especially whilst I was scared and unsure. He is always willing to spend the time with me I need to make sure all my questions are answered and the whole team at the royal are great.
Attended Dr. Patrikios' surgery this week for yearly check of peripheral neuropathy. After minimal tests by assistant who asked me why I was there {referral by my GP}, then Dr. Patrikios came in, well, he also asked "why are you here" again, I said referred by GP, he went on to say, my PN was bad last year, and bad this year, and next year will be the same - bad???? what is this? I found him, dismissive, condescending, quite rude, and that he thought my case was a complete bore. The whole culture of this practice not good, from his receptionist upwards. Cannot recommend...……. zero stars.
Called spoke with Densie asking for information and a rough quote regarding botox for migraines as my doctor as advised to call. Was rudely advised that I can just get botox and that I need to follow certain steps. Advised I am aware my doctor has tried all the correct step. Desinse started giving me prices and I advised ok I might go looking around for prices and she hung up. Call her back and she is now hanging up and won't speak to me. Worst service ever!
