This pathology is within the medical family centre, currently they make you wait outside no matter what. The reception staff I dealt with for the medical centre are not very friendly or helpful at all. However the actual Douglass Hanly Moir blood collector was very nice, friendly and helpful. So I think people's bad reviews are actually relating to the medical practice staff reception which are not Douglass Hanly Moir.
I wish I could give less than one star. I've just been turned away for a blood test my doctor prescribed after being asked to wait outside for 40 minutes - ready? - BECAUSE I HAVE A SORE THROAT AND A NEGATIVE COVID RESULT from yesterday. I'm not a doctor, but I would guess a sore throat is THE most common symptoms of illness in the world. So the Hippocratic Oath of Douglass Hanly Moir isn't "Do no harm" it's "Do nothing". So, here's the implicit message Douglass Hanly Moir want to send to the world about COVID: Lie about your symptoms and don't get tested. This is how we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory people.
I've only had good experiences here. I get regular blood tests. Never had a problem.
Supposed to open at 8:00. At 8:15 there is a long line waiting and absolutely no sign of movement. Appalling disregard for customers
I called them and asked if they could do drug test. I have repeated for several times. Spelled D R U G for the lady for twice, she just told me she didn’t get my point then hung up, really rude.
Choose a different pathologist. The wait can be ridiculous and I was charged $120 for an ECG that my doctor insisted I get re done due to the poor quality of the results. The very junior staff member who took the ECG had to do it 3 times as she kept getting the leads wrong and had to look up the instructions constantly. Laverty pathology across the street is much better
You can get simple blood pathology services here...They do open early
Great job, competent and polite staff, didn't hurt or anything and no bruising
Friendly, professional and really efficient.
