If you like milkshakes, please don’t go. I took a strawberry one thinking of course that it will be made of strawberry ice cream since they literally sell this ice cream. But they just mixed vanilla ice cream and chemical syrup. It tasted so chemical, like medicine. Please to it right or stop doing it. 8$ wasted.
For a chain location, these donuts are actually really good. Not too bready, generously filled and actually tasty. I really like the flavour choices here such as the vegan oreo creme one and the golden gaytime donut. I assume that the filled ones are the least dry so if you’re looking for a moist donut, I suggest you go for a filled one. The oreo donut I ordered was great, a little too sweet but overall really nice with good oreo flavour. Plus the donuts are actually really large. I will say, if you do come here, only order the donuts and avoid the thick shakes.
Bought a salted caramel doughnut for my cheat day. It has been in the fridge since yesterday cheat day today and it tastes surprisingly great! I had read a few negative reviews and I prefer to get my own experience so I bought a doughnut for both my husband and for myself and mine tastes great. Even though they are quite expensive $6 each, they are double the size of krispy kreme with much more filling and very doughly. Only issue is $6 is a bit expensive. that's why I gave 4/5 stars Ok. I had to write a 2nd review. I am now addicted to these doughnuts. They are doughy, creamy, sweet and BIG! I love the cookies and cream and salted caramel ones these have different names and my hubby likes the Nutella and cookies and cream ones aswell. We bough krispy Kreme doughnuts today instead of the doughnut time ones and even though these are cheaper, they are not better! The kk donuts are so much smaller that they last only a couple of bites, whereas the DT donuts are so much bigger than you almost can't finish one in a sitting. They are way more satisfying and in both my husbands opinion and my opinion, they taste better. Better value for money aswell, even though they are expensive. I highly recommend DOUGHNUT TIME to any doughnut/donut lover. No, I am not paid to say this. I just believe that good food deserves to be pointed out, rather than complained about.
Very over priced at over $6 for one doughnut. It didn't taste fresh either. Very disappointing.
2020 edit: the new Veruca Salt recipe is whack and tastes bland. Bring back the old caramel filling. I'll pay the extra cash! 2017 original review: My doughnut time fam always got my back - such a tasty product and kitsch to keep up. No matter the deal they always pull through and make my day legit my favourite place for a good time and best of all an amazing doughnut. ILYSM
after picking up my grilld from across the road, i decided to get the full southbank experience and grab a donut for desert. pulled in by the bright lights and indulgent looking donuts i thought it would be a perfect end to the night. barely greeted by a young girl with her ear-pods in and no eye contact, i chose the ‘liam hemsworth’ not sure where the wacky names come from but it’s no deal breaker. now…sharing a name with a hottie you’d expect the donut would be finger licking goodness…but it was stale tasteless bread. not sure how long it had been sitting there or if they got some measurements wrong but couldn’t even get through the thing. my friend got the ‘fairy godmother’ slightly more suited name but still a bit wacko. she said it was delicious but i’m dubious. prices weren’t too exuberant so they get an extra star for that :

Best doughnuts I’ve ever eaten. My favourite doughnut store and I’m glad they cater to vegans as well. Worth every penny.
Sadly nothing like what Donut Time was originally, was excited to find an outlet stil existing. Had a donut in the late arvo that tasted old & stale. Wouldn't go back.
Arrived at the shop at 7pm to find it closed. Both Google Maps and their own website said it should be open until 9pm unless sold out, which it obviously wasn't see image. Went back 15 minutes later, still closed. Walked by an hour after that, and suddenly it was open. I guess employees need breaks sometimes, but at least put up a sign if you are going to be away for more than 15 minutes.. After that much hassle we still decided to try the doughnuts. One was so dry I couldn't eat it, but the other was fine. Overall didn't like the experience.
