Quaint establishment with interesting architecture. The food was well presented and palatable. We enjoyed the ambience and our evening. The kind gesture of birthday dessert was very much appreciated.
Great experience, definitely a highlight and everything is put to work to make your dinner memorable. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable on menu and wines. The dining room looks great with the unique ceiling light design. The flavours in the menu were wonderful with unique combinations, and the wine options matched to the menu worked really well.
Really friendly staff and great food! One of the best meals I've had, all the dishes were balanced really well with great texture throughout all courses. Jam doubt parfait was my favourite :Food: 5/5
An amazing dining experience at Doot Doot Doot a few weeks ago for my boyfriends birthday! Every single dish in the set menu was amazing. We also added the Wagyu dish, and it did not disappoint. The service by our waitress was faultless and we can’t wait to go back!
My fiancée and I dined here on Melbourne Cup day for dinner and it was an amazing experience. Our servers Kristi and Alistair were both very friendly and made the evening feel extra special. The food was delicious and presented very well. The experience, decor and food was worth every dollar. I would highly recommend this fine dining experience to everyone!
We came here to celebrate a lovely occasion. Greeted by friendly staff and as we were early, we head to the bar for drinks. Stefan greeted us with politeness and explain on the menu, and a fun little game to play using a coin and menu. We truely enjoy the dining experience. Great innovative food and cosy atmoshphere.
Why isn't this a hatted restaurant? The food is innovative and delicious. The staff efficient knowledgeable and unobtrusive but ever present. The decor memorable... a must try on the Penninsula.
A fine dining restaurant located in the Jackalope Hotel; only opens for dinner, serving a four course menu with optional add-ons such as oysters, caviar and cheese. Inside there is an array of glass bulbs and tubes hanging from the ceiling, forming an abstract pattern with a yellow gold glow which was beautiful to look at. The menu requires you to pick an entrée, main and dessert from the list; pretty hard to choose as most of the dishes sounded delicious. Ended up trying the grilled scampi, Hapuka fish and the citrus melody: - Three starters were included. The fish and chips was a crisp layered potato rosti topped with bursts of delicious briny salmon roes. Parfait jam shortbread was soft and crumbly, sweet and a little savory from the parfait. Bacon and egg was served in an egg shell; on the top was a piece of crispy dehydrated bacon strip, and the creamy egg concoction was very flavourful and delicious - Grilled scampi was fresh and sweet with a mild seafood bisque. Interesting combination with the butternut and black garlic cream - Potato and rosemary bread was very delicious, savory and herby; and the crust was extremely crunchy with a soft springy centre. Definitely one of the best bread I've had - Hapuka; fish was tender, moist and meaty, accompanied with a caramelised burnt honey sauce and sweet daikon puree. There was also a side of crunchy baby daikon, radish and seaweed ribbons, and smoked roe. Everything worked well in the dish - Citrus melody was light and refreshing; consisting of a mildly sweet and creamy panna cota, champagne sorbet, and some fresh and freeze dried citrus fruits - Petit four; sugar coated pumpkin doughnut, chocolate truffle and blood orange jelly; nice sweets to finish the meal Overall a great dining experience; menu was creative and delicious from the flavours to the textures. Also there was a mini puzzle to solve to keep you occupied while waiting for the food. Staffs were friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu if you have any questions.
Loved their innovative and playful menu and the ambiance. The restaurant is both cosy and stunning, with the ceiling artwork the standout piece. Staff were all lovely. 5/5 - would love to return. Tip: stay at the beautiful hotel so you don't have to drive home and make a mini break of it - it's worth it breakfast is also outstanding!
We loved our dining experience at DOOT DOOT DOOT. Our server Gemma was kind and knowledgeable and we had an overall great experience. I think the price point of $125 per person was quite reasonable for the food and experience we received. Some of the dishes were experimental but not too much that they weren’t edible, they were exciting and tasty. We especially enjoyed the ‘bacon and eggs’ among other things. We would recommend to others :
