Doors Plus Mitcham deserves 0 stars. I ordered a front door as well as a completely new frame. Firstly, door was installed 5 months after purchase. Once the door was installed, we noticed the external and internal door framing was made of several small pieces of finger joined timber all different colours as seen in images. I had advised the company that the door would NOT be stained and only have a clear varnished. We paid $2,500 and were not happy with the extremely patchy finish, we went into the store and the Manager was extremely rude, aggressive and unhelpful. He refused to listen to our concerns. I have truly never experienced worse customer service.. Please do not purchase anything through Doors Plus Mitcham. I have wasted a lot of money and time with no resolution.
We have had nothing but disappointment dealing with Doors Plus Mitcham. Their tradesperson did not arrive on time, did not complete the job in the set timeframe, and then there were multiple issues with the installation including missing components, and faulty workmanship. Perhaps most disturbing was that the store does not return phone calls, and frequently does not answer the phone, store management has not replied to emails and we still have not reached a resolution. Not recommended.
Fab at Door Plus Mitcham was great to deal with. He ordered my door that had to come from NSW in a timely manner. We were missing a handle when our builder installed the door & I rang Fab and he told me to go pick one up on the same day. Great service!
I spent over $6000 dollar on 9 x interior doors at the Doors Plus Mitcham branch and 4 of them were defective. 2 of them had undercoat or a blue paint appearing through the topcoat, 1 had a very visible paint bubble and 1 had major scratches. As of June 2022, I am currently taking Doors Plus Mitcham to VCAT, over supplying defective doors and not honouring a warranty and fixing the doors. VCAT was postponed until 11/11/22, and as of today VCAT ruled in my favour to reimburse me for the defective doors to the value of about $2,300. Doors plus representatives did not even show up to the VCAT hearing. They make me wait 2 years to go through this whole VCAT hearing, including a 6 month delay in the hearing, making it a total of 2 years and they don't even show up. Clearly this company does not care about customer service or their company image.
Could not believe the customer service or lack there of with a recent experience. The installer was rude and offensively aggressive and threatening - a sub contractor, but still represents the business. What was worse was that the store franchisee was equally rude, displayed no empathy for our situation and experience and was direct and aggressive as well. We did not feel safe as both parties threatened to come to my house, break in and remove the doors - all due to me wanting to make my final payment with the store direct and not the rude tradesman who also installed the doors incorrectly and then blamed us and called us liars. My wife did not feel safe with him in the house. Doors plus no fuss - I don't think so. Will never be back!!!
DOORS PLUS MITCHAM ~Wanted to share an update from January 2021. Yes I’m so disappointed that I want to share, so no one has to go through what I’m still experiencing! My door cost me over $4000 and I’m still dealing with the useless door plus! After numerous and I mean numerous conversations, Doorplus said they will give me a new door if I remove my first Google review. It then took them another 8 months to bring me a new door and imagine my surprise when guess what, the door didn’t fit. Two weeks ago the door arrived to be installed and it did not fit. So not only do I have a useless $4000 door but now I have another $4000 door sitting in my garage. I have once again had no phone call from Mitcham door plus to explain or fix the problem. I have never received such bad service! Do yourself a favour do NOT go to doors plus. Please see below reply from GUS can’t find my emails and like only sent 10 or so !! What a joke !!! Like all replies from all reviews Gus nothing ever gets done Sorry Gus but I have a $4000 door in my garage doing nothing surely you don’t have that many Nikki’s that you have given such terrible customer service too! Or do you??
Doors plus were terrible to deal with, after multiple change of dates for pickup, to then getting told I'd need to go all the way to the city to pickup, instead of Mitcham, finally got the doors, to find that one was damaged, they couldn't get another for months, and I didn't want to deal with them anymore, so requested a refund on the Saturday. I was told it would be processed Monday, by Friday nothing had happened so I called, and Mitcham told me it was processed on their end, and held up at head office, and I needed to call them. So I called head office who said that the Mitcham office had not done the paperwork and they couldn't do anything about it. I filed a dispute with my bank over the charge, and a few days later when I assume Doors Plus got notified about the dispute, suddenly head office and Mitcham were calling asking me to remove the dispute and they promise they will sort out the refund. I of course didn't remove the dispute because I had no reason to believe them after all their previous lies. Would defiantly not recommend them at all, terrible to deal with
DOORS PLUS - NOTHING BUT FUSS!!!!!!!! I have nothing good to say about my experience with Doors Plus Mitcham from the moment I walked in the door until I demanded a refund! There is so much to cover about what went wrong I just can't type it all.....from increasing the price of the order after signing and then not being able to supply a stained external door because it faces north, etc. the issues went on and on. I would not recommend Doors Plus nor would I ever use them again!
Appalling, is how I can describe it. Finalized order early September 2022 and still waiting on our doors. It would have been ok if they indicated it will take this long but instead on our final order confirmation it clearly states 5-6 weeks and the agent who assisted us confirmed it shouldn't take longer than that. We are living with no bedroom doors approaching three months. The worst of it is no one has bothered calling to address the issue. I have been following up myself and each time I am told that someone will call me back, I'm still waiting for the call back. I received a message today saying when the doors arrive in December we will contact you, no date provided. No one in the team has the decency to take ownership of the situation never experienced anything like this before. If you are thinking of going to Doors Plus I'd sign up a separate contract with them to cover yourselves.
If this was the last door installation company in the world I'd rather live without doors Terrible customer service, lost measurements, no one returns phone calls, told deposit had been refunded when it had not been. No one in this company seems to know what is happening and is not able to contact each other. A complete waste of time. Avoid at all costs.
