Please don't skimp on freshness. We can taste it. The caramel iced today were not fresh. The chocolate buddy donut my daughter had was fresh. We can tell I come to donut King for freshness, if you lose that, you lose the customers. I swapped for 2 cinnamon which they were happy to but what I wanted was a fresh caramel donut.
I know the franchise fees for these businesses are out rages, but it is a compromise on quality. The hot chocolate is very ordinary. Had lumps of koko and cheap Hot Chocolate was used. The cinnamon doughnuts have very little sugar on them. It is not the best doughnut king by a long way. I know the franchise fees for these businesses are outrageous, but it is a compromise on a quality.
Horrible customer service. Girls know little to no english and I had to repeat what I wanted to order too many times before she understood??? Absolutely clueless about what they sell. All I wanted was a simple donut and drink...
4.8 - Recently, they updated their offering with freshly made Cinnamon Donuts. Lots of people are coming for them now. They have a window display but it's installed at the wrong height and nobody can see them being made but we get it, and they taste delicious! Service is ok, and I get my 3 donuts for $4. Yum
While the products are good, the customer service is not. The ladies have no idea what customer service is and seriously need training. They are quite rude. As I was waiting for my donuts, this poor old man didn't know if he should hold his tray of coffee and donuts or push his trolley. One of the staff should have used common sense and helped him to a table. How do you expect an old man who can't even walk properly, hold a tray and trolley and not spill coffee everywhere. The staff need to do do better.
Won't return, rude service and despite website, and Google listing showing that the store was open until 6pm after placing an order for a milkshake and some hot cinnamon donuts at 5pm to be handed mildly warm donuts that had been sitting aside on the bench. I then asked the staff for hot donuts only to be told that they shut the machine down as they're closed.
The donuts at Top Ryde Donut King are always fresh and tasty. Staff are always happy and friendly. Their milkshakes are delicious. Not a coffee drinker but always see plenty of people buying their coffee so maybe it’s delicious too. I highly recommend paying them a visit for a hot cinnamon donut or an iced donut. Sometimes I can’t decide which one so I get both without regret.
I just got back from donut king at Top Ryde & I'm never going back due to extremely disgusting customer service. Unhappy to replace a cup of spilt coffee due to it being scorching hot. A staff member came from behind the counter and said "THATS WHAT YOU ASKED FOR!" When I had asked for a normal temperature. She then wouldn't stop staring at my family and I. If you wanna come, be sure not to spill your coffee or else you will be stared at!
I ordered a caramel milkshake and it could have been way better. I ordered it via Uber Eats and the milkshake was probably sitting behind the counter for a fair amount of time because the Uber driver spent roughly 20 minutes going the opposite way away from Top Ryde area towards Gladesville area and then proceeded going the right way. I also got no apology from the Uber driver for being delayed. Disappointing service. EDIT: I ordered a six pack of donuts this morning and they were amazing. Very fresh and tasty.
The Donuts are pretty good but sometimes they leave a bit of aftertaste that lasts for hours. The coffee and hot chocolates are a bit runny for my taste. The staff are courteous. Nice donuts shop for those occasional cravings.
