Saturday 31/12/02 approx 4.50pm. Approached 2 young ladies working behind the counter at Doughnut King, waited a couple of minutes whilst they both were chatting to each other, hoping to get 2 iced coffees however was told the coffee machine was turned off, and that all they had let to drink was in the fridge. I responded oh ok & started walking off, I heard both the young girls snickering as I walked away I turned & faced the girls & asked is there a problem? Was answered by a short sharp NO! I was offended by their snickering behind my back, wont be going back to very bad manners. :
Visited Forster last Satuday and needed a coffee and donuts. Always support my local Oran Park Donut King who have great coffee, donuts and service so thought I would get the same at Donut King Forster. I couldn't have been more wrong. The service was slow, coffee was luke warm, donuts stale and the cleanliness of the service area and shop floor was a disgrace. I hardly got a word from the girl who served us, no customer service skills here. Give me Oran Park Donut King any day
Sat at the little bar after realising they weren’t open at 5:02pm on Friday afternoon when the website states 5:30pm. Then I’m approached by an man who appears to work at the store. Where my wife and I were told we “need to move because public seating is over there” so fair enough we moved and stood up but he keeps on sweeping and another man sitting 5 seats down at the Sam seating bar is sitting there they have a chat and doesn’t get asked to move and he also has purchased no donut king products either. I found this extremely rude. We went out of our way to sign in using QR code to sit down and then we’re told to move where the other bloke hasn’t been told to move! I will not be buying anything from here ever again. Been here a few times and the service was terrible so slow and rude.
At recent visit DK had no coffee loyalty cards available. Staff said no worries would be stamped upon next visit? NOT SO, rude staff girl said I don't know you or if you bought the coffee. I don't have to stamp your card. Hey DK what price customer satisfaction, really over two coffees. Back to marketing school for you guys. Add to this dirty tables & chairs, long wait to get served & even longer to get coffee. How did you guys win your Best Coffee Shop award??!! Won't be back.
Terrible, terrible coffee! I bought a large latte, only to get the free donuts - had to wait half an hour for it to cool enough to be sipable, then I only got probably a mouthful in, before I gave up on it. I'm not even the type of person who wastes food - I hate wasting food! But that was so bad, it didn't even make the pig bucket! It made me ill. Also, 2 people on today, only me at the counter & it took 5 minutes of walking slow & tapping things, to start making my coffee - perhaps because they restarted the donut machine to generously burn me fresh ones. That didn't as much bother me, because they were free. It was the latte that killed the buzz for me.
So after standing in front of the counter for five minutes during lunch, when I could see that there were 4 staff inside, after I asked, I was told they were closed.No other explanation
Normally really good however my brother and I got two drinks today and neither were properly stored, or really stirred at all, making for two horrible drinks with a thick sludge at the bottom, rather upsetting
The eating area often remains cluttered or dirty even when the staff aren't busy. It also takes quite a while just to get served - inattentive staff don't keep track of who to serve next and are just slow in general.
Staff are cool, friendly & helpful, great service. Coffee & donuts are awesome, will definitely go there again when in Forster
Regular Donut King. Good coffee but great friendly staff!
