I was looking forward to this Park after walking thru and around Anderson Park, however I was left a little disappointed. There were huge gates closed and chained and padlock to prevent people axcessing walking tracks. However, I did find the Farm Track and by the end of my walk around had completed 5.91km. The pond area was lovely and watching the young chicks with their Mums a highlight. Difficult for me to recommend this place. I'd say it would be so different on Agricultural Show Day, Eventing and Heritage Rural Day. Other than those days, it's more a thorough fair to go from McIvor Road to Bainfield Road and those queuing to use the public toilet half way between.
Love going to this park to feed the ducks.
Fabulous park for picnics, bush walk, extended family fun day. Fantastic place for special photos too.
Invercargill has a lot going for it...It always looks so neat and tidy..same with Donovan's Park. Very pleasant park to walk about.
It is a relaxing moment, you have ducks, geese, and the odd swan, you can walk around the man made lake, they may also have some deer, sheep and lamas, it's got public toilets and picnic stop stops

A&P Show... Was very kool... However was not impressed at all with the queen's Park animal area, who had there poor goat and sheep tethered in the sun, you should know better.... There should be rules around animals care on display... The petting area was very well done... Why not the other animals
Nice place to take a walk, feed the ducks or just get some fresh air in pleasant suroundings
