DVH is an exclusively small animal practice and has been offering high quality veterinary services to the local area continuously for over 45 years.

We advise yearly check-ups and vaccinations for all pets. Veterinary consultations are available by appointment 7 days a week to make this as convenient as possible.

We have three well sized consulting rooms and a large, bright, modern reception area. The nurses at reception are well trained to assist you with general health queries, flea/worming treatments, nutritional advice, appointments or surgery bookings.

I truly can’t express how grateful I am to Stu, Jenny, Amy and Donna from the Reproductive Team at Doncaster Veterinary Hospital. As a Queensland breeder sending my dog interstate for mating for the very first time, I was quite anxious — but they made what felt overwhelming become completely calm and stress-free.nTheir kindness, reassurance and genuine care meant more to me than they probably realise. Being so far away is never easy, but I felt supported and confident the entire time. I’m incredibly thankful for their professionalism and heart, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any breeder.

Absolute perfection. All of the staff here are just amazing. So so dedicated to animals. Aimee you are amazing. So knowledgeable . So professional. I love the way you don't rush with giving info over the phone. You take your time to explain all the details, allow the client to ask questions. To then  be able to feel relaxed and comfortable to make the correct decision for pets needs.nHIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VET FOR YOUR PETS NEEDS. Experts when it comes to reproductive needs for dogs. Being fair,  I am dividing 5 stars by 2 and adding half a point; for as my little dog’s vet, the service was always impeccable. Vets seemed genuinely caring and competent, and front staff friendly. Of course we were paying big bucks for it all.nThe downfall happened when I found a lost dog with no name/phone tag, so I took him to the clinic. He was microchipped but there was no information there. Of course I was worried for/about him, and was told he would have to spend the night there until the council could be contacted the following day. I asked if I could get a follow up call, but I was told to call back myself instead.nI did get a call though, saying the owner was found, and out of sheer joy and innocent curiosity I asked a simple question: “ was he too far away from home?”. I wasn’t asking for names, details and addresses. My concern could have been addressed with a simple: “actually no, he was not too far from home”. Period, I would have been happy he was finally going back to his family. Instead, I was met with a reply that sounded more like although these were not the actual words:”it is none of your business”.nBottom line: I learnt 2 simple and sad lessons: when you’re not paying, the treatment is different, and the saddest of them all: to mind my own business, so If there were a next time that I found a lost pet, I should walk the opposite direction as it is not my problem.nNow we are searching for another vet in the area.

Dr Jo was great when my two large dogs needed attention. She has a calm easy manner that quickly put my dogs at ease, and her yummy treats were well received. The visit was a positive experience for us all.

Once again Doncaster Vets have gone out of their way to deliver the highest quality veterinary care with the most professional & friendly, caring client service. The team at Doncaster especially Amy & Stuart, are incredibly knowledgeable & work with their clients to achieve the best possible outcomes. We could go to so many local clinics but drive over an hour to Doncaster as no other practice in my opinion can compete with there service & expertise. Thanks again for all of your hard work
