Dome has opened a new café in Kalamunda. It's restored the old Darling Ranges Road Board Building which until recently also served as the Kalamunda Police Station.

Service was quick and friendly. However, food was less desirable. Our onion ring was burned and bitter. They had our orders mixed up too. The place wasn't packed. So not sure how they have gotten the order mixed up. Once its fine but this was multiple times.
Been to Dome Kalamunda many times and can’t really complain. The food is good; the kitchen even modify vegetarian dishes to vegan for me and the staff are pleasant. Dome might be just another franchise but they cater to vegans fairly well here. Only reason not a 5* review is the desserts & cake cabinet let them down. Nothing vegan or remotely healthy.
Avocado stack with bacon and poached eggs. Nice but I wish they would learn how to cook them. Not hard boiled eggs
Not for coffee and food enthusiasts. The food and coffee is acceptable - what you’d expect of a big commercial chain think Applebees / Frankie & Bennys, but double the price. The main issue is with the service. Several items missing from the order including eggs missing from a fried breakfast.., had to ask a few times for them to be brought out, and were met with attitude on account of the kitchen being busy.. There are some excellent cafes in Kalamunda - try them first!
I was so disappointed with Dome Forrestfield recently but thought I would give Dome Kalamunda a go. Again a disappointing experience. It seems the milkshakes are now something you can get from Maccas or HJ’s. Thick flavoured soft serve. No skill needed there. Nothing special about it either. I also ordered a toasted ham, tomato and cheese sandwich, another failure. A chunky sandwich, burnt on one side and not toasted on the other. How hard is it to make a toasted sango!!? Anyway I am not prepared to try another Dome cafe. I’m done!! Parking: Good parking.
Been to Dome many times. And must say this morning was very disappointing. Staff chatting to each other about pay and penalty rates, I think is very unprofessional infront of customers.
Dome Kalamunda was once again a great experience today, my sister in laws birthday, we forgot to bring a cake so after we ate our delicious lunch I asked if they had any candles, just one? Staff were amazing and obliging and made my SIL incredibly happy as they created a cake with some melting moments, picked some beautiful green “Jasman” and walked the cake to the table as we sang “Happy Birthday” while some in the restaurant chimed in! A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO DOME KALAMUNDA and their amazing staff, WELL DONE!
Today 27th July 2022 my partner was being ‘cat called’ by a group of elderly men by whistling out aloud constantly, immediately disgusting but more disgusted by the fact that the waiters around chose not to take any action of this immature behaviour which made the whole environment of the restaurant even more uncomfortable. Disappointed by staff. Chose to not make a scene and left. I can understand you can’t control customers behaviour but when the staff chose not to act on poor behaviour makes me feel disgusted by the restaurant
Ordered 1 hot chocolate and 1 iced chocolate .......hot chocolate arrived all okay waited another 15/ 20 minutes for iced chocolate. Ordered 2macadam biscuits to take away was served 1 piece of cake and biscuit on a plate told them what I had ordered they then went and packed cake and biscuit and brought to me ......third time lucky I received my two biscuits to take away .......glory glory say no more .....
Vegetarian breakfast is my favourite Dome meal and I’ve had it many times. Order took ages to arrive and when it did the egg was poached instead of scrambled as I had requested. So it went back. Then no butter for bread, so I waited. But the most disappointing part was the hash brown. It wasn’t brown it was light yellow and barely cooked. On a plate of fairly healthy food the hash brown is the naughty indulgence so to stuff that up is a sacrilege.
