This is a small cozy restaurant but it’s big on taste. The owner is super lovely and helpful. She tweaked some of our dishes to accomodate for dietary requirements. The pasta we had was so tasty and the house red and white paired well with it. The dessert was also amazing.
Was my first time here and glad to have found it. Can't wait to go again. Friendly service and atmosphere. Pasta was super fresh, I'm amazed.Food: 5/5
I felt home from the first question of our Waitress. The food is so authentic and good, you just want more and more They ask about what u like and dislike. From there they go to the kitchen and do their magic. It was our second time here and if we wouldn’t live 18,500km away, we would be here very often. And the date pudding at the end with a NZ desssert wine rounded everything up.
First dinner in NZ and my favourite so far. Very small, intimate dining experience. The chef came out to greet us, essentially asked what we like and made fresh pasta&pizza to our tastes. We asked for veggie food and it was really wonderful. Waitress there was also friendly and talked about NZ when we were curious.Food: 5/5
Awesome little bistro, very cool setting and the owner is lovely! Thank you for the pizza and drinks pre Florence and The Machine concert, see you next time we are up here!
Have just come from Di Vino Bistro after the #cookingupastorm evening fundraiser for Hawkes Bay. It was a once off kind of thing and by the looks of it wasn't the usual service, although still awesome. The food was super tasty, and carbs on carbs in a good way. The owner who runs it by herself was so friendly, kind, patient and talented. Portions were perfect and it felt we were welcomed into her home for dinner, in the best way. I only regret not taking photos because I was so busy eating. Honestly, such an incredible experience and glad we could take part in this event. Apparently, normal service is orders from 12pm with not a set menu and the bar side of things is open from 3pm. It's a different set up to moat restaurants as she is by herself, but honestly that made the experience even more amazing. Everything felt like it had a personal tough and we were able to to chat and converse with her. Looking forward to going back when I'm in the area again.
The hospitality here is as nice as the food. Anna makes a mean Negroni, an excellent Puttansca, and a youth-pleasing pizza. Refreshing find.Food: 5/5
