Decided to stop on the way from the city out to West Melton. Ordered a couple of breakfast options and coffee. The seating was nice and the orders taken quickly. Coffee was good - soy flat white. And luckily arrive very soon after it was ordered. Our food was also quick and tasty.
Went to Dine Divine last Saturday night 16th July 2016 for dinner> We had been before and meal was excellent. I ordered fillet steak and my partner ordered the lamb. The restaurant was reasonably quiet. A table of four beside us and couple of tables with couples. The wait for our meals was reasonably long, an hour. When the meals finally arrived they looked delicious. I started to cut my fillet steak and the knife was having trouble cutting it. The steak was fill of sinew ! Had couple of mouthfuls but couldn't chew it. Funny really as it was going around and around in my mouth and couldn't swallow it . Called the lovely young waitress over and showed her the sinew in the steak. She apologised and took my plate away. She returned and said the chef would cook me another in 10 minutes. I said thankyou that would be great. Meantime my partner was enjoying his lamb. It was another 20 minutes when my plate was returned . Steak was great. But vegetables were cold . And the meal was served on a cold plate. At this stage was over it ! The nice young waitress came over again and saw my face . I explained this time re cold vegetables . So my plate was taken away again. This time returning with delicious plate of food. My partner had long finished his lamb. At this stage of the whole dining experience I was pleased to eat anything as I was very hungry. It was now 2 hours since we walked in the door . My partner asked for complimentary deserts after he had sat and watched me eat my meal. The chef declined his request. We will not be returning. Thought the attitude of the chef was unnecessary. Realise he wasn't to blame re sinew in the steak. But his arrogance will be his downfall. The complimentary deserts would have put a smile back on our faces.
“Absolutely wonderful!” Ventured down for dinner this evening and it was fabulous. We had some lovely Kiwi wine, beautiful main courses and delicious deserts. I must also add that the service was fantastic , well worth a visit!
First time dropping by to grab some hot drinks, we ordered 2 "bowls" of chai latte, strewth they were huge!! And delicious! Almost popped trying to finish it! Have not yet tried the food, next time though. However we found the place to be very dim and poorly lit and where we were sitting on the couches a circuit of lights kept flickering. Dine Devine I'd recommend in seeing Hannah or Simon from Lighthouse Lighting to upgrade your lighting from Incandescents to LED.
Friendly staff. Great food. Warm indoor seating. Dog friendly and spacious outdoor seating. Enjoyed our lunch very much on a sunny Saturday. Note: this restaurant and cafe is up for sale now
Popped in for a quick lunch while waiting for a friend at airport. Excellent meal. I had venison perfectly cooked. Great service too. Highly recommended
Quiet place, fish and chips was not too oily, the cheese on the rib eye was home-made. Taste nice! Will come back
Very good food. Cosy, quiet establishment. Very good service.
Nice food unfortunately this restaurant has now shut down
