Love this place!!  Very easy to buy online or get help for a hire costume in-store .  Decent prices!! Thank you!!  Easy location and very central.  We got outfits for the recent Abbey Fayre and had a great time there!!!  Everyone loved my nephew's King Aurthur costume.  He was definitely the king of the day!  It was so well fitted, very comfy and breathable for him, and lots of reinactors loved hanging out with King Arthur!!!  He had a great time and lots of memories were forged!!!  In all my experiences of purchasing and hiring from this store, the staff have always been friendly, very helpful, accommodating and great with suggestions, ideas and their overall service.  Cannot fault this place.

In response to the Owner: I am not Tara. You got the wrong person! However, my review remains.  There is no empathy nor sympathy.  My car broke down, and I had to have it towed to the repair shop on Monday, so I wasn’t able to return the hired outfit on time. I called the next day and told the person on the phone what had happened.  However, the girl on the phone was not sympathetic to my position and told me that the Late Fee had to be paid anyway! ... told her that my car was still with the mechanic and that I would have the outfit back on Wednesday... She insisted on paying the late fee... even after I told her I have the proof my car had been towed by RACQ...  I understand what I signed when I hired the costume, but what about the human side of the business..... I guess I'll pay the late fee...but I'm not going back to the shop in the future.

I spent the last hour searching for costumes. The staff announced they were closing in ten minutes, so I made a decision. At that time one staff was serving another customer, and the other was nowhere to be seen. I did three laps of the store to seek assistance, I was also juggling children, and enquired about included accessories, but the other staff member only appeared to say “we are closed”. I put my costume on the counter, and the staffer, said “it’s 530, we are closed, I won’t do the paperwork”. Either get more attentive staff, allow your customers to process an order up to closing time as is done in most retail stores…, or be more clear that “we are closing in ten minutes, your order needs to be finalized now”.  This service soured the fun of the experience, and frankly is the worst retail service I’ve experienced. No I won’t be back tomorrow. You won’t get my custom.

I have shopped with Disguises for about 5 years now for every event or costume I’ve needed. But today I had the most unpleasant experience. Not only did the lady huff at me and roll her eyes while we were trying on costumes, she told us that we had chosen the hottest costumes in the store and would want to rethink our ideas. She told us to limit our try ons because they had to clean them afterwards which has never been a problem before. I don’t really understand because you don’t need to wash items you try on in a normal retail store. I was willing to rent the $100 costumes because I found them fun no matter the fact they weren’t season appropriate but after she spoke to my friends and I, I really just wanted to leave.  I work in retail and I understand the emotional labour of being nice to everyone but I am not outright rude to people unless they deserve it. We were respectful of the costumes and as a fellow clothing retail stuff, I made sure to put items back on the hangers as I found them. No where in the store is there places to hang them after you try them so I don’t know how they expect to clean them.  I don’t think I will be coming back which is really sad because I have such good memories in my past costumes.

After having an awful experience at another costume shop. This place restored my faith in customer service. Such good prices too! Literally less then half the cost of the other place!

Great customer service, reasonably priced, wide range of costumes.  My husband and I went as Capt Hook and Smee, as you can see my husband looked awesome.

Terrible attitude of people who are working here. Girl named Christina was nothing but rude as soon I walked in. Rental clothes are filthy and poor Chinese quality for price of new one. Awful experience
