I think the quality has dropped a lot for the dim sims. The skin for the fried one wasn't eatable. It was so hard and tough. The steam one was slightly better. The meat inside is so-so, quite dry .Food: 2/5
The steamed dim sims were much nicer than the fried. The dim sims were a good size for $3.50 each. It was tasty enough with a long queue of customers waiting at noon on a Saturday.
You can’t visit South Melbourne Market with stopping for a unique, and incredibly tasty dim sim from this place. The dim sim I got was hot and fresh and everything I had hoped for. The other members of my party ordered a spring roll each. I was confident that the spring roll would be just as fantastic as the dim sim. However, it was unfortunate that the spring roll was just a roll of mushy who-knows-what wrapped in a crispy rice paper. Was quite disappointed by the spring roll but the dim sim was incredible without question.
I love south Melbourne market dim sims they are super tasty and will leave your mouth salivating and wanting more and will fill the whole in your stomach perfect for any occasion or even as a snack set in the heart of south Melbourne

My personal experience here is fantastic, when I visit here I binge eat a lot lol, Seafood platters, croissants, Turkish, Spanish, dim sims, Vietnamese pork rolls, I try em all... Never really shopped for daily or weekly needs unless I see a good bargain as I go with friends and kinda love the enjoyment factor and food. Parking: I always park upstairs as it's pretty reasonable, if I spend 2 to 3 hours there it cost around $8
Hate to say it but it is really not that nice. $3.5 each. Once is enough.
I've been coming here for years, ever since the old boy passed the dim sims and sprig rolls have changed. Casing dim sim are too hard and miss the pepper in them. Today the spring rolls where terrible. Short and stumpy way too much filling for my liking. When you have a good thing going, don't change it. Hopefully it was a off day.
It's a pitty they don't sell these dim sims in every fish and chip shop OMG they are the absolute best dim sims you will ever eat. I could live on these things.
