Story

Dhaba is a simple curry house located in Piper Street's historic steam mill. It's a place to come hungry and happy. There's a festive atmosphere with a buzzing open kitchen, music playing and movies projected on the beautiful white stone wall.

Dhaba is proudly recommended by the Good Food Guide 2011 & 2012, Cheap Eats 2011 & 2012 and voted the #1 Butter Chicken in Victoria & #2 Best Curry Take Away by the Herald Sun in 2011.

There's also the DHABA Food Truck in Woodend & Castlemaine serving take away to the masses. :)

Delicious meal with generous portions of curry, so we ended up with plenty to take home afterwards. I loved the garlic paratha and mango lassi especially, and was very impressed by how prompt and friendly the service was.

Last minute decision to have dinner in Kyneton and Dhaba did not disappoint! Absolutely loved it   So much flavour and a number of vegan dishes. Beautiful building and ambiance, super friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommend! Dhaba at the Mill is located on Piper Street in Kyneton and managed by Owner Chef Ajay Pal who takes great pride in running this quaint restaurant specializing in Indian Cuisine. Try the appetizer  Papdi Chaat and main course of  Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice amongst a host of other Curries from Fish curry to Roganjosh along with Black Lentil Daal. A must visit as this is a historic old Mill converted to Dhaba by the mill where you also get a glimpse of some old Indian movies... Great quick service and friendly easy staff... Staff were lovely and welcoming. Food was so delicious! We went on a Sunday where it’s $20 per adult for a buffet meal.. children were $10 each. You have to pay for any naan bread or drinks . The atmosphere was relaxing. I really would love to give 5 stars but they don’t split bills.

We travelled over an hour to eat at Dhaba after reading great reviews… it did not disappoint. We’ve eaten at many Indian restaurants and this would have to be one of the best. Authentic, incredibly tasty and perfect sized potions. Service was great and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend Dhaba at the Mill

You’re basically paying reasonable suburban Indian restaurant prices for seriously classy food, it’s incredible.  The entire experience was lovely: the furnishings and decor are super cool, the staff are ridiculously kind.  I’m so impressed by this place, I couldn’t speak more highly of it

I went here for dinner and it was incredible. The entree and main meals I had were full of flavour and tasted amazing! The Masala Chai was wonderful too! Highly suggest going here for beautiful and authentic Indian food; and their Balls of Happiness entree is a must have!

One of the best Indian meals I’ve ever had. The food was flavoursome and fresh. The staff are so friendly, especially Kimmie who recommended the delicious palak paneer, and the atmosphere inside the historic building is cool too. We’ll definitely return the next time we are in Kyneton.

Absolute gem of a restaurant in Kyneton. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, great authentic flavours and excellent service. Well done to the team. Will definitely go again and look forward to the Sunday buffet.

Lovely and cozy place to dine in. Amazing customer service. We had no table reservation and this place was flooded with customers. Staff was very friendly and approachable and managed to fit us in. We had to wait about 10 mins. Service was slow which is understandable considering how busy it was.  Food was very delicious. We tried buffet. $25 per adult and unlimited refills. Found it very budget friendly and fulfilling.  Highly recommend to visit this place. Best food, service and enviroment to enjoy your meals.  Will return again for sure.
