I've been training at Derrimut Norwood as my local for just shy of 3 years now, but I’ve been visiting it for about 6 years and have seen it grow and improve significantly over time. Big shoutout to Oli in the mornings — absolute legend, always brings great energy to start the day right. Also, there’s a lovely staff member who works later on Saturday and Sunday mornings with black hair — I don’t know her name, but she’s super friendly and makes the place feel genuinely welcoming.nnWhat I really like about this gym is the space — it’s open, not too cramped, and there's a solid range of quality equipment. The early morning 5:30am crew are also awesome — great vibes, friendly people, and it makes training that much better. Plus, not having to wait around for most machines except the ever-popular Smith machines! is a huge bonus.nnIf I had a wish list, I’d love to see some Panatta machines replace some of the older Life Fitness gear, maybe 1–2 more Smith machines, and a few upgraded free cable machines.nnThat said, my biggest gripe is the general upkeep and respect for the space. It’s frustrating to see people not re-rack their damn weights or leave the toilets in less-than-ideal condition not the employees fault. Some of the machines could easily be running smoother if a bit of basic weekly maintenance was done — honestly, a little water-based lubricant and proper cleaning would go a long way in keeping things in better condition. And lastly the turn around for repairs is very slow.nnAll in all, it’s a great gym with solid potential to be even better — and with a few small improvements.
Amazing gym, great facility and equipment. Kaitlyn is super friendly and makes me feel welcomed each time I see her. Her energy is contagious and her positive attitude sets the tone for a good workout. Her unwavering support and encouragement is what keeps me coming back. She celebrates every milestone, no matter how small, which keeps me motivated and accountable. She always goes above and beyond to ensure that I’m having a great experience and answers any questions I may have. She’s a key part of what makes this gym such a great place to be at.

Derrimut Norwood has been my go to gym for almost 3 years now. The equipment is always great and in good condition. Clothing store has quality clothes with nice designs. I was helped out by Leanne to chose a couple singlets and I couldn’t be happier with them. Amazing gym, I can’t see myself going anywhere else.

The Sauna facility is like icing on the cake here and I feel stress free after enjoying good Sauna after workouts nnWhether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting out, they have variety of personal training options cater to all fitness levels.nnThe community atmosphere at Derimutt Gym makes every workout enjoyable. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to achieve their fitness goals!
