Departure Point have always looked after our travel arrangements for both personal and business reasons. We've travelled domestically and internationally with them and can't recommend them highly enough. Their attention to detail and willingness to help AND save us money is always appreciated. On top of this, they are very active in the community, supporting many local events and organisations. Great to see a local business supporting local people.

Dreadful ... Completely Missing the Point! I was introduced to Departure Point, formerly Jetset a few years ago via a Customer Loyalty Programme. I had only booked air travel with them until September of this year. I contacted them recently to again book air travel for myself & my partner to Sri Lanka. When asked if I wanted assistance in booking accommodation as well I accepted as I was busy. Due to the trust I felt, I also booked several transfers and, the outcome of my ground experience was DREADFUL. After realising we had been received as Cash Cows ready for the slaughter, we found a local operator and were able to at least enjoy a valued cultural exchange & sightseeing for ONE QUARTER the price. We also were not asked to tip between USD$10-$20. One of our drivers booked through Departure Point took us shopping advising he was not paid commission from the businesses we visited. Since then I have been assured he was paid up to 50% commission. Our heartbreak was being asked "Which Shop" we bought a ring at when I showed our driver my beautiful new engagement ring on our final transfer to the airport. My partner & I could not wait to get out of the car. In sharing my distress, I was told "No one [at Departure Point] has been to Sri Lanka" and, when the business owner emailed me to advise he was looking into my complaint ... he decided to never follow up. He also was not interested in receiving my referral of an outstanding travel service for their next Sri Lankan travel clients. As a small business owner myself, that said it all. I WAS NOT EVEN ASKING FOR COMPENSATION ... JUST SOME DIGNITY!! I am dealing with 303 World Travel & Cruise in Melbourne ... the Customer Loyalty Programme no longer has a value.
