The range is limited in this David Jones compared to the store in the city, however this one has the benefit of being in a Westfield with free parking limited hours. It's a little old in some areas and could do with a refresh. Its not crowded which is great and the staff is generally very helpful and friendly. The food court downstairs is nice and quite luxurious.
As a customer myself I think how many of my fellow customers treat the staff at this store needs to be addressed. The way staff are treated by customers at this store is appalling. David Jones Bondi seems to have a specific type of customer who thinks that because they wear designer clothes they can treat staff horribly. Sorry but you have zero elegance and class if you treat staff badly! Here are a few things for customers to remember… -address staff with manners. Say “please” and “thank you” when asking to look at prices,open cabinets, etc. -Don’t hassle staff if they are busy. Simply wait your turn or do something else while you wait. -Expanding on that, don’t follow staff around when they are clearly with another customer, it’s so rude. -Dont complain about lack of staff to a staff member who isn’t a manager. A regular staff member literally can’t do anything about this and is probably annoyed also. Go to customer service on level three and formally complain. -If you don’t have a receipt or tag on your product you can’t return or exchange it EVEN if it’s faulty. This is bad luck for you as it’s basic consumer policy that a receipt/tag is needed. If you harass and abuse staff members for not processing a return or exchange you are being disgusting. This is your fault for not keeping receipts, this is pretty basic stuff….. -If you don’t want to be approached by staff shop online! It’s extremely rude to get annoyed or dismiss staff when they ask if you need help it’s their job and they are likely being policed by managers to do this. -If you are going to be rude or do any of the above SHOP ONLINE. Retail workers are human and are done with your BS

It's a below average experience when the security guard follows you around the store for the first 10 minutes. Even though we spent a small fortune on clothes it only seemed like the staff wanted to help find what we wanted in the right size after we already bought a few things. Pretty average experience at best, the $10 voucher they sent me can simply expire, like the motivation I have for returning.
Had an experience of buying shoes at David Jones, Tommy Hilfiger brand , woman section. Seems like nobody works there. Was looking for assistance with size, hardly found someone who can help. When I ask about colour variations the guy said we have only one colour and run away from me not suggest any alternatives. Later I found same product but different colour seems like staff doesn’t know their own product. Btw, we were at the shop at 5 pm close to closing time but still it shouldn’t be an issue with serving customers. Disappointing
Great new contemporary designed Food Hall and Dining space. Food was restaurant quality but the service unfortunately let the overall experience down. It was difficult to catch the Waiters/Waitresses attention and they seemed unsupported, no Manager to be seen, kitchen staff didn't talk to each other, the staff generally looked quite unhappy to be working there...perhaps they are all underpaid or don't have sufficient hospitality experience!?!
Tremendous department store with an unparalleled history going back to Lloyd Jones. Stores all over Sydney with only one city store now. Wide range of mens and women's apparel, cosmetics household products furniture, kitchen items and food store. Some stores have cafes like Bondi Junction "Kitchen " which serves lunch with a glass of winehighly recommended

David Jones has the worst service on the phone. You cannot even talk to a human being. I was trying to speak to someone for 2 hours, at the end the lady asked for my name and phone number instead of helping me with my queries. Terrible customer service!!
Visited the food hall at David Jones Bondi Junction on a Sunday morning. There was an interesting range of gourmet and premium foods ranging from fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, pre-prepared meals to less known brand snacks and biscuits. Always well displayed, it's a pleasure to browse the food hall, but expect to pay premium prices
