Story

Partners Julian Barry and Julie Franz have a combined 50 years of living in the Top End of the Northern Territory and Central Australia.

Although most of our clients are based in Darwin, we have strong working relationships with clients in areas across the Territory including: Alice Springs, Gove, Katherine, Tennant Creek, and other remote locations.

We can meet you face to face during usual office hours or at other times.

We’re also set up to communicate however you choose – we have developed strong working relationships with our rural clients mainly using phone, Skype, and other electronic communication. We have travelled widely throughout the Territory as well and we understand the needs of people who live on both sides of the Berrimah line.

We represent a diverse cross section of the community including other lawyers, trades people, politicians, miners, doctors, academics, nurses, labourers, public servants, police, ADF, small business to medium sized business owners, remote community workers, straight and same sex couples, indigenous people, persons who speak English as a second language, and others.

In addition to family law, Julie Franz is our criminal law specialist. She is a solicitor and barrister, with extensive court experience developed over 16 years of practising as a criminal lawyer in the Territory. She will represent you in all areas of criminal law and criminal defence work, including:

• Drink driving and all traffic changes
• Breach of a Domestic Violence Order
• Assault and other violent offences

Julie puts her clients first and will achieve an excellent result in the Magistrates/Local Court, the Supreme Court, and the Youth Court.
