I absolutely love this place. The team at Dartnells are brilliant. They are the reason our 5 year old is now sleeping properly for the first time in his life. They have a great relationship with our doctor so whenever we are running low on scripts we are able to chat with our doctor who will contact them direct. The service here is absolutely second to none. Extremely friendly, attentive and thoughtful. Thanks for giving us our sleep back guys! Couldn’t recommend Dartnells any higher.
My 10 week old baby Lily May has had terrible colic for 5 weeks. After trying all herbal remedies suggested. I finally listened to my Mother and Father I wish I had listened sooner I called Les and he was very knowledgeable and informative. He listened to my concerns and what we had tried. Then he assured me he could help our Lily. The first mixture was amazing, it worked instantly. She had relief and could finally sleep, which meant so could we. We also discovered she had developed reflux, so we called Les again and he was certain he could help us further. It is so nice to have the old world feel and care, the chemist staff have all been very friendly and wanting to help at any chance. My family have been coming for generations, starting with My Great Grandma. I can see why such a fine establishment has survived all of these years and im positive for many more to come. Thank you so much for helping our bubba Lily May.
Fantastic service & personality and a wealth of knowledge from Les. I called his store late Friday after hours, Les returned my call early Saturday and was expecting me when I visited that day. Great little local business!
After seeing 2 different GPs about feet based dermatitis so bad my 5 yr old couldn’t walk without pain, with only steroid based cream given as an option, only one day after using the Dartnells specialist cream and liquid, his feet were back to normal with no pain. I’m so annoyed we waited this long to try their specialist treatment regime, it has been life changing for my boy.
Only a parent can ever understand the horrors of watching your child suffering and their humiliation. My son was 4 when he contracted molluscum contagiousum from a public swimming pool/bathroom/locker room. At first the pediatrician said it would go away on its own. 16 months later it had spread to his 2 year old brother and over his lower torso. I tried everything from essential oils and creams to three different pediatricians and a Dermatologists. They all used painful and awful burning and freezing… it was a nightmare. I had to wash towels and sheets daily and scrub everything. I was so desperate that I contacted Dartnells pharmacy via email on a different continent after seeing people swear by their compounds. After discussing via email with Les, I ordered. It took a few weeks to arrive and when it did we started using the protocols immediately. BOTH OF MY CHILDREN WERE FREE OF THIS NIGHTMARE IN LESS THAN 7 DAYS. I can’t stress this enough- it was life changing and miraculous. Thank you so much for what you do. I can’t even express my gratitude enough. You are truly our hero’s.
Les and his team are great. It's an oldie worldy entry filled with old pharmacy bottles and tools etc. I have allergies to some inactive ingredients in medication even panadol so I need them compounded. For those complaining about the prices, yes they are higher because everything is done by hand which takes time. Additionally, some meds require multiple and highly expensive for him to purchase ingredients so this can be reflected in the price. Regardless, caring staff and great service.
There seems to be a feeling of well being as you enter the pharmacy. The smell of various potions being prepared and the array of bottles, creams and various other items all make for this being a place of healing. Such a contrast to your run of the mill "Big Pharma" outfit. The products I've sourced here have been very helpful as have the interested staff.
Can't speakly highly enough of this pharmacy. I need urgent compound meds and they listened, took on the challenge and had them ready by 4pm. Thank you so much I am very grateful
My daughter had a nappy rash nothing would get rid of. We went to the doctor multiple times and used anti fungal creams from the chemist etc and then my mother in law came to Dartmouth chemist and got a special natural cream they made themselves. I was sceptical but it was amazing!!! Rash went in a couple of days. Unbelievable.
Purchased some overly expensive psoriasis ointment and mixture, compared to other Specialist treatments for psoriasis .For a couple of minor spots. Chemist claimed two weeks or so will clear up.I followed instructions to the letter. 7 weeks later, not a bit of change. Don’t waste your money on this treatment, it’s useless. Exaggerated and misleading product claims by chemist.
