My son participated in classes at Dance Habit, and it was a wonderful experience. The school is very well run, with a warm and encouraging staff. The dance instructor was not only fun and supportive but also ensured all students remained engaged. I wholeheartedly recommend Dance Habit.
Would definitely recommend this dance studio for any parent looking to put there little ones into dancing . Not only are they very professional but also so welcoming and so down to earth. My 3 year old daughter learnt so much and was already pulling out ballerina dance moves in such a short time which was so cute to see.. Looking forward to continuing my daughters dancing journey in the future with this amazing dance studio
I've been dancing at Dance Habit for just over 18 months and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's genuinely changed me for the better in so many ways. I had about 2 years of ballet at a ballet-only school behind me, but after moving to a different suburb I wanted to find somewhere closer and potentially expand into other dance styles. As a fat woman edging towards 40 who didn't dance as a child, dance can be very fraught, but Megan and her cadre of amazing teachers are absolutely committed to making dance accessible to as many people as possible. The classes are welcoming and encouraging, with lots of options across all levels to find the balance between support and growth. Participating in the end-of-year concert is truly special experience, there's nothing like it. If you're on the fence about trying out dance, I can't recommend Dance Habit highly enough.
Dance Habit is a great place to learn to dance, make friends and feel connected. My kids have danced here for the last 5 years and continue to love it. I also dance here as an adult student and absolutely love my classes. Dance Habit have a huge variety of dance class styles and levels to suit everyone. They are extremely inclusive for all people and have a real focus on making everyone feel welcome. The teachers are highly knowledgeable, skilled and put so much passion into their classes and students. If you’re looking for a fun, inclusive and quality place to learn to dance, this is it!
I attended adult dance classes here and this place is so professional without being intimidating. If you just want to get back into dancing or want to start as an adult this is a great dance school. The teachers are wonderful and it is such a fun place to go. The students are friendly and supportive. It really feels like a community.
I had searched on and off for a number of years to find a tap class that would work with my schedule.  Two years ago I found Dance Habit and noticed how good the reviews were and they were right!.  Thought it would be fitting that I write my own review. I'm now a second year tap student and I love it!  I look forward to class every week. Whether you're new to dancing, wanting to try a different style they have a number of styles on offer or wanting to pick up dance again, you wont regret booking a trial with Dance Habit. Dance Habit is an awesome community! They are very welcoming, friendly and the teachers are extremely supportive. So grateful to have found Dance Habit.
Dance Habit is an amazing dance school and a really lovely dance community to be part of. My daughter and I have both been doing dance classes here for many years. The teachers are great and there is such a nice feel to the place - everyone is really supportive and friendly. I never danced as a child so I started at Dance Habit as a complete beginner. Its been a really wonderful experience for me.
Although many dance schools offer adult classes it is rare for a school to have the amount of different class levels and styles that Dance Habit has and this all comes down to the strength of the community that Megan and the team have created here. Whether you are completely new, have danced all your life or somewhere in between, there is a place for you here. If you are into performing or want to give it a try, there are opportunities and if that is not your thing that is totally fine as well. Everyone is encouraged on their own dance journey. The teaching and class standard is high quality and the environment is inclusive and friendly. This is a special place that I have attended since 2019 and we are so lucky to have such a dance school here in the west, I have a lot of friends in the Eastern suburbs who would love to have such a school close to them.
Dance Habit has changed my life. I feel like this review is going to get gushy, but I had not danced in 18 years. I used to love dance, and between life and mental illness and significant weight gain, I had decided dancing was not for me anymore, or was something I might do in the future when I was fitter. Dance Habit has not only been accepting of me, they have made me feel so welcome and at home. They are helpful and willing to give extra help, or suggest adjustments that better suit my body. I have been doing class for 3 weeks, and I am a different person in that time. I am more confident and happy, and every time I think about my Wednesday night dance classes I either get super excited or so happy I need to have a bit of a cry because I am just overwhelmed with love. This studio is built on love, acceptance, encouragement and joy, and I feel so lucky to be a part of that. I really cannot put into words just how much this has changed my life for the better, but so many people in my life have also witnessed the change, I am a new, happier person, and it is all thanks to Dance Habit. They have made dancing inclusive and I would encourage anyone who has ever wanted to dance but doesn't think they can, doesn't think they are fit enough or flexible enough or skinny enough, go to a trial class at Dance Habit, because they will show you that if you want to turn up and give it a go, you can absolutely be a dancer.
I've been going to Dance Habit for more than a year now. The classes are fun and engaging... Lovely teachers and staff who know their stuff. Megan and the team truly reflect the core values of Dance Habit in the work they do: Kindness, Inclusion, Empowerment and Growth. Highly recommend to all!
