I always find the customer service great at any Dan Murphy's outlet I visit. The service I received at DM Launceston last weekend was outstanding. I ordered a click and collect of a dozen of my favourite wines. When I arrived I was personally greeted by the team member who packed my order. She apologised that there was only 8 bottles available of the wine I ordered, and advised that she had chosen a similar wine of higher standard to replace it. So I recevied 4 bottles of my absolute fav at no extra cost to make up the dozen. When I opened the box, there was also a written apology note that they were not able to fulfill my order at the time. No complaints at all from me. Thanks for the friendly, professional service!
Here should be the first shop for alcoholic tourists because of Lowest Price Guarantee, widest range, long Opening Hours, right in CBD with lots of attractions/photo spots nearby such as but not limited to Female Factory Historical Site now is Launceston College & FREE TASTING, max 3 per person. Tasmanian Wines & Craft Beers are generally expensive when compared to all major brands with mass production. Elsewhere Distilleries in TAS whisky tastings are typically around $40 for 3 different types of 15ml each. Yes, Security Contractors are quite rude but unfortunately no where else has more &/orncheaper even at that 2 local Breweries now owned by 2 Japanese companies respectively, some Distilleries & Vineyards so I did not give a ship. Members may have further exclusive discounts.
Well....I bought Dan's Barossa and McLaren 'cleanskin' 51 and 71? $9.99 bottled Shiraz wines maybe 5 years ago. And must say I was very pleasantly surprised. Great body and flavour.... at a great value for money price.nAnd went to Dan's in Launceston today. And bought both of the above.nThere's ONLY ONE positive thing to say about these wines today..... they both contain alcohol !! NO flavour / body / taste etc that is in ANY way positive.nYes...$9.99 a bottle 5 years ago. And STILL $9.99 a bottle.nTHAT'S a very different type of inflation..... price stays the same but quality goes down through the floor....nDON'T subject yourself to this CRAP !!
Lots of variety, including international options. Prices are also very competitive, and love that they pack it in a box for you. If we stayed here a membership would be worth it!
