I have never experienced such terrible customer service as I did at your Echuca store, particularly from the store manager, Miranda.nnOn Friday, 27/12, I purchased two 10-packs of mixed Kirin drinks at the advertised member price of $42. However, at the register, the price came up as $52.98, with a $2.98 discount per 10-pack for members.nnToday, I drove back to Echuca from Cohuna to address the issue at Dan Murphy’s. When I went to the register, Miranda asked if I needed assistance. I showed her the ticketed price, but her response was appalling. At first, she said I was wrong. When I showed her the ticket pictured above, she became defensive, making excuses and growing increasingly agitated.nnWhen I pointed out that the ACCC guidelines state the ticketed price should be honored, she claimed there was nothing she could do because “we are Liquor.” She then escalated the situation by threatening to call the police, accusing me of threatening her with the ACCC, which I found completely unwarranted. I calmly reiterated that I wanted a peaceful resolution.nnMiranda insisted that Liquor was above the ACCC, which left me confused. Despite her aggressive tone, I tried to continue the conversation civilly. She eventually offered to check the previous price points but reiterated that she would call the police if I “kept going.”nnWhen she returned, she showed me price points that did not match the ticketed price. I pointed this out again, and her response was shocking: “WHAT’S YOUR DEAL? WHAT DO YOU WANT? ARE YOU SHORT ON CASH? DO YOU WANT MONEY OR SOMETHING?” I was taken aback and replied in a calm and fearful voice that I simply wanted what was right.nnI then asked to speak to the store manager, and she claimed she was one of three. I requested the regional manager’s name, which she provided. Knowing the conversation was going nowhere, I thanked her and left the store.nnMiranda’s aggressive tone and demeanor left me deeply unsettled and created an unnecessarily hostile experience. I suggest reviewing the situation, including store footage, as it will show there was no malice or aggression on my part. This interaction has left a terrible impression, and I hope it is addressed appropriately.
