DAAWAT INDIAN RESTAURANT IS FULLY FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS. BOUGHT THIS EXISTING BUSINESS NOT WHILE AGO, BUT STARTED UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. REFURBISHED EVERYTHING INCLUDING AMAZING INTERIOR, FABOULS FURNITURE, AND GRAND KITCHEN.

THE HEAD CHEF IS TEJAL PATEL WHO HAD STUDIED IN BNIT IN BRISBANE. AFTER STUDY SHE IMMIDIATELY JOINED SULTAN INDIAN RESTAURANT AND AFTER WHILE SHE ALSO SERVED IN GLADSTONE AS A HEAD CHEF. SHE GOT QUITE A LOT EXPERIENCE IN COOKING AND MANAGING RESTAURANT.
AFTER SHE GOT RECRUITED FOR DAAWAT INDIAN RESTAURANT IN MALANEY, THE RESTAURANT GOT AMAZING HIKE OF CUSTOMER.

WE KNOW THAT THE MALANEY IS TOURIST PLACE AND HAS A BIT OF VARITY CUISIONS OF RESTAURANTS, WHICH SHOWS QUITE COMPETATIVE MARKET IN FOOD LINE. Food was amazing and has very rich flavours. Very generous amount of food. Value for money. Only problem was that the wait time.. We waited more than an hour for our food to be served.would have given 5 star if it’s not that long. If you are not very hungry and can wait then highly recommend this place.

I believe this restaurant has changed hands. The food tonight was pitiful, sauce looked and tasted like it was from a bottle, not from an actual spice mix. Watery and no flavor. Very disappointing considering the price of a curry is not cheap at around $23.

We ordered the dhal makhani and shahi paneer and oh my god, it was so good. The rice was fragrant and the naan was excellent. Dropping by from Brisbane, I can definitely say this was a treat. If we ever stop by Maleny again, we'll come back.

Great service. Fair prices. Pleasant atmosphere. Superb food. There's a good variety to choose from, and it's all offered with a choice of mild, medium or strong spicy heat. The servings are generous, and they will happily give you a take-home box. Highly recommended. This is a place we would go back to. And it's in a beautiful location. The drive there and back is scenic and you can spend hours browsing the wide variety of stores selling all kinds of art, craft, clothing, and books.

Absolutely beautiful vegetarian curries and amazing Naan bread! Great staff and good prices too. Definitely will be returning next time we’re up Sunny Coast way!

Daawat is delicious! Hubby and I ended up stuck in Maleny for dinner during a lockdown and boy are we glad we came here! It’s super tasty and really good value for money. The servings are very generous the naan is HUGE!. If we pass through, this will be our go to place, highly recommended!!

My wife had what was recommended as the best butter chicken in the area which was really nice and I had a beautiful spicy beef vindaloo. definitely highly recommend this place.Food: 5/5

Unfortunately was very hit and miss.  Went to this place a few months ago and it was actually really nice.  Food was amazing, atmosphere and staff were good.  However, got a takeaway from here recently and was a completely different story.  Food was really bland, which was actually very surprising for an Indian restaurant.  was probably my new favorite restaurant from the first experience, but second one completely turned me off coming back and spending money here.

Food was great and staff was very friendly. Most importantly the owner was so kind to us. A family member felt unwell and staff was very caring. We are very grateful for their care and appreciative of the kind gesture they have showed. Food was why we went there but their behaviour is why we will go back. Thank you Daawat!

Had lunch at Daawat on a recent weekend in Maleny. The staff were friendly, service was good and the food was lovely. We had the butter chicken had to see if it measured up as the "BEST butter chicken on the hinterland" - I'm no butter chicken expert, but it was pretty good! We asked for medium spice and could have gone a bit harder as it was more sweet & subtle than spicy & very yummy!  We also had prawn pakoor which was delish. Perfect lunch for a cold & rainy day in Maleny - it warmed us up nicely!
