The first time I went to a Curious Creatures workshop with my partner of the time 'Kink 101' we both felt nervous, unsure, and excited. It was 'edgy' for both of us to go to a sex-positive workshop, and we weren't sure what to expect. What we found were other nervous and excited everyday people, very much like us! The workshop was great ... the facilitator Rog held space warmly for the group and kept everyone on track. I was impressed, having experienced a real range of facilitators from skilled to unskilled in my time - and having seen what a *huge* difference skilled facilitation makes. I've now been to several Curious​ Creatures workshops 'Joy of Accusations' - life-changing, 'The Forest' - beautiful and I learned sooo much about myself, 'Curiosity' - this has awoken me sexually when I was feeling quite stuck ... *and* it's helped me know and respect boundaries that I didn't even know I had! And to respect other people's boundaries much better, and to receive "Nos" from others without feeling devestated. The other amazing bonus for me of Curious Creatures workshops and the Curiosity community is a true experience of inclusivity of diversity, not just lipservice. The workshops welcome and attract people of many sexual orientations and gender identities - from the heterosexual cis-gendered majority to queer non-binary minorities, from highly sexual to asexual. There's a sense of 'us' rather than society's 'us' vs them'. That has been a massive gift to me and others ... one I am very grateful for.
Highly recommend, such a fun, educational and great experience!
I attended an excellent event, had a fantastic time and will do what I can to attend more events run by this organisation.
