We stumbled upon this little Cafe and chose to dine in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The menu was limited to the usual fish n chips, burgers and other typical 'milk bar' type offerings. But don't be dismayed, the meals were generous and flavoursome. Service was friendly and all round good experience. Only one thing that bothered us, the staff were socialising amongst each other and not paying attention to the cleanliness of the tables. Almost all tables, including ours were not tidied up from previous diners. Plates and food scraps on most tables, waiting to be removed were left as is. The Cafe was not busy at the time and it really spoiled what was a good experience. Lack of or poor management. I still rate this Cafe highly with some basic improvements.
A totally relaxing cafe with great food and real, friendly staff. Situated immediately opposite Eric Bond lake-side park, the view is great and typically NSW. Outdoor and indoor seating to suit the weather. Food is excellent with an Australian flavour, with burgers, bacon and egg rolls, and steak sandwiches, etc. I had the schnitzel burger with the lot less pineapple and it was superb. Also has essentials to take home.
I moved to the area about 2 months ago and have been getting coffee's here 3-4 times per week. None of the staff ever made me feel welcome or attempted to remember my name. Today I was 10c short in coins for a coffee which is already severely overpriced $5 for a regular with no special milk and they wouldn't serve me a coffee. Really disheartening and zero community spirit.
Lovely staff. We had dinner here on Saturday night. Wood fired pizza was nice, but the loaf of sourdough garlic bread was out of this world- a must try. They let dogs come in- so lovely to have a warm cozy dinner with the pup. The burgers at lunch were fresh and hot chips okay.
We have had pizza from here before and they were nice but we ordered 5 pizzas the other night and the pizzas were tasteless and the bases were doughy. Better to spend your money on a frozen pizza from the supermarket as it is one of the worst pizzas I have had.

Beautiful Cafe and location, best coffee in town and breakfast.

The little store that could. An unexpected gem of a place behind the outskirts of Sussex inlet. Good range of wood fired pizzas at night with no shortage of toppings and great breakfast and hot food options during the day. Exactly the sort of place you want next to your caravan park- Oh and very good
A few visits here. Service at the counter is not consistent, helpful or friendly. Busy most of the time. Tables have been clean each time. Foods been satisfactory and good for us each time as is the coffee. Only a short wait each time of around 15mins. This is also a general store. The amount of clown customers peak season is like nothing I've ever seen in my life. I genuinely feel sympathetic to the people working the cafe. Its a real detraction from going here. A great cafe in the off season when its not being flooded with tourists. Thanks.
