This restaurant has a small food stall inside the Strathfield Plaza for takeaway. Foods here is very good and cheappp
We ordered takeaway of lobster with noodles from this restaurant today, Valentine’s Day. They SAID the lobster was 0.9kgs when it was picked up from the restaurant. When we opened the takeaway container at home, we were surprised to see only a little bit of lobster meat with mostly shells and a few legs. Where was the meat??? We called and spoke to the manager Mr Chan on phone, and in the middle of our conversation he hung up. The meal was $180 and was disgusting and bland. If you don’t want to be RIPPED OFF, DON’T go to this restaurant. They are NOT honesty, very rude and have NO integrity at all. If zero star can be chosen, this restaurant has no star.
My partner and I came here for dinner during the busy Lunar New Year period. We thought the service was fantastic for a Chinese Restaurant! Considering how busy and noisy it was with the Lion dancing happening inside, we managed to get a table without a booking and were blown away by the staff here on the night, especially our friendly waiter we didn’t get his name. We ordered: Steamed Oysters, Pippies, Seafood Beancurd Hotpot and the Black Pepper Fillet Steak - All cooked to perfection! Couldn’t fault it. We left feeling happy and bellies full! Thank you and Gong Xi Fa Cai
They don’t deserve a star!!! Visited with my daughter from Korea first experience of yamcha. Went there 1:30pm and asked if they still do yamcha. The staff said yes, and we sat down expecting the food trolleys to come and serve. One trolley came with few dishes, and then we waited for ages for the second to come, and suddenly the dessert trolley came after the second trolley! I asked when the trolley would dishes come out again, and they asked what I wanted! I asked dishes that i remember and they went and brought them to us after so long. Another man came and replaced the hot tea without even asking. We were so tired of waiting and asked them to pack the remain dishes and so they did. When we went to pay, the cost came out nearly $100!!!!! Including the tea $2x2. We had limited dishes to choose in the first place they were all expensive we did not get informed that they would have limited trolleys available during the weekdays! They didn’t give us menus, they didn’t inform us of price of each dishes…. After confronting the staff gave us the tea price back, they admited of their poor service and simply apologised. But we had to pay for the whole price even though they only provided us with limited dished to choose from which were more than $10 each! I am so upset of the whole situation and feel like I got ripped off!!!!!!!!!! I would never go back and would neverk recommend this place to anyone!! Parking: Strathfield plaza
If I could give it 0 stars then I would. Went in at 11 for yumcha, left at 12 after only being served 1 plate and a cup of tea. Servers pushing trolleys were looking at our table and walking the other way. This used to be our favourite yum Cha, we won’t be returning now.
I went there last Thursday with some of my best freinds because of its old reputation. It is my first time but also my last time. Because it let me down from every aspect. Price is extremely high. I paid 300 dollars for six adults actually two ladies are not eating much for mainly dim sum.No seafood, two deep fried pigeons already cost me $85. I actually prepared for the high price as this is my important treat to my best freinds. But I did not prepred for the ugly cooking and tastes of food and nearly self served service. The two main themes of the food are salty and dry. And when we looked more carefully, we found the reason. The materials are not fresh AT ALL. They are stored and cooked over and over again. We can even smelt a little weird from the 'Shumai' dish. When we tried to ask one of the waiters waitresses to change. Guess what? We could find no one. All of them are occupied. Because it is seriously out of hands and they are all seniors. That's definitely not their faults. If the boss has hired enough hands to serve, I would have admired him ways of looking after the seniors. BUT the fact is all the seniors staffs are exploited. They couldn't move and work as the youngsrers when they were forced to!!! How dare we make more requests? I and my freinds even had to walk around to help them serve our table!! What a day!! Anyway, I didn't want to be too harsh on this restaurant, but didn't why it is still working in that way. But I just show my most sympathy to all the senior staffs.
The food was great. Lobster was cooked to a juicy perfection. Wasabi beef was definitely a highlight and a very interesting combination. We also ordered chicken which went really well with the ginger/shallot dipping sauce. The mixed veggies were also very nice. I felt the staff were quite slow and unresponsive. Took a long time for us to get our teapots refilled. Other than that everything was pretty good. Convenient spot right near the train station and there's also a ramp for wheelchairs or prams.
I actually really love this place, and surprising found the rating is not that high. I was never disspointed when I came here, the yumcha is great and good value, the dinner is also of high quality, the staff is friendly too, love it!
Probably one of the worst yum chas in Sydney. Food either tasted off or just wrong. Service and ambience were ok though. I've been told the food is better when you order a la carte at dinner.
Best Cantonese seafood restaurant in the surrounding suburbs by far! It’s the only place my extended HK family and their friends will go to now. The food always tastes fresh - never too oily or salty - and portions are decently sized. Covid tip - you can also order a family banquet to pick up for a dinner feast at home. Food was surprisingly well packed with elements separate for mixing when served. We had leftovers for days.
