I've been using Croydon Park Mechanical for a few years since moving to the area. I've found them to be thorough and direct in servicing my car - telling me what needs to be done, and the impacts of doing/not doing certain tasks. My first service there uncovered some questionable work by my previous service centre. They always contact me for direction when a change to planned works arises, and give options at different price points if applicable. Pricing is reasonable. Communication is straightforward. I can generally get a booking within a few days of calling less than a week, and my car has always been serviced within a day.
Very good service. Did a major job in a day. Very well priced. Friendly. Did no work until they told me what was needed; with quote for work. Highly recommend. Thanks gentlemen.
Used them two years ago, had no issues. Actually had good impression of the shop and staff. This time same car, same regular service. The only known issue prior to the service was a broken cornering light bulb. I told them about the bulb at drop off, then was told would be looked into. I was updated during the day. The guy told me 'the cornering light is expensive to fix'. I had one replaced before at dealership service center for $31. I knew it wouldn't be 'expensive'. So I told them to leave it. Later, I bought 2 bulbs for $24 on Amazon, and took me 2 minutes to swap both out after watching a short youtube Video. Then the guy told me the coolant needs to be flushed. I told him that it was done at last service, and my car barely added any mileage since. He told me to hold the line while he confirms the situation. On coming back, he told me there's actually a leak of coolant. Since I had no issues with coolant before the service, so I asked if my car can pass pink slip without having this fixed. He said yes. I decided to leave this. After picking up the car, I got a my first 'Coolant level low' warning in less than 1 week. I topped it up. Then warning again after a few days. The situation quickly worsen to 1 full top-up couldn't last me a 15km trip. I called the shop and try to ask what the problem was. I was told they need to examine the car. So I took the car in and hoped that a quick check can tell me the issue, the cost and time to fix it. The three guys were having a break when I walked in. I was told I need to book the car in for a full inspection to identify the issue. I booked the car to another mechanic. It was found out that one of the pipe connecting to the coolant pump was leaking. This was my story.Service: General repairs & maintenance
Mike and his son Joe are honest and decent mechanics they have been around the community for over 15 years, and have always been fantastic with their service and pricing. They are definitely cheaper than the dealership, they are not the cheapest but they use recommended parts and are up front with costs, they will give you a buzz and explain what needs to be done and helps with pricing options too if needed. I'm out of area now 30 min drive in traffic and I still come back to these guys. If you are also looking for upgrades for your European car Mike's son Joe will be able to hook you up with something.
Great Service and always do their best to help you out and get your car back on the road ASAP
Great service, very knowledgeable in car mechanics, been going to this business over 20 years ... highly recommend
Really good friendly service. I went in wanting to get a check for the car I was interested to buy. I’m impressed with the generosity & help with my car they provided. If this is the way they treat their customers, I’d highly recommend them! Thank you.
Not very often nowadays to find a mechanic you can absolutely trust. I’m lucky I’m in the neighbourhood. Mick is by far the the best combination of a mechanic I’ve seen: experienced, friendly, productive and good price. Long may he reign.
