I quite like it here. Been here twice now in two years. Rooms with views are lovely, and balconies too. Looking across the open grass to the palms and pines to The Swan and houses and high rises is lovely. The interior looks into itself and down to a water feature; the afternoon light is honestly quite intriguing to the eye and heart. Good beds and bedding. Professional, convivial staff. I have only had the buffet breakfast once cannot this time due to my fly-out time but I really like it: the generosity, variety and quality. The scram was ace.
Hotel room was spacious, beds very comfy, but hotel doesn’t read any comments regarding special requests etc or reception staff not interested in feedback. Our family room was not very clean, in need of a very thorough vaccum, the shower leaked water all over the floor, black mould in the shower /: The hotel really need a bit of a ‘modern update’ as it has amazing potential. Our dining experience in the evening left a lot to be desired; staff were very overwhelmed with orders and orders forgotten. Breakfast was great, loads of choice for us adults and our kids. Probably wouldn’t come back, the website gallery misleading.
I've been staying at the Crowne Plaza in Perth during business trips, for the last 8 years. It's in a good spot, with easy access in and out of the city. This end of town is very quiet in terms of nightlife, so it depends what you're looking to do. The hotel is starting to show its age, but it's well maintained. The biggest plus of this hotel is the quality staff, who I also find helpful, friendly and accommodating.
2.5 stars Positives - Clean room with good views and great location but that’s where the positives end Negatives - The hotel was old and falling to pieces. Carpet was old and dusty, rooms and bathroom were small, the bathroom specifically had a very old styled shower in a bathtub which was scary to get out of. No mixers in the bathroom either. The locker was out of battery, no complimentary mineral water. The restaurant didn’t look very impressive. I had expected better from a crowne plaza property, they need to consider a serious renovation for the price they charge. It’s definitely not a 4 star property. Can definitely find a better place in that price
Photos look slightly better than the actual rooms, and the hotel is a little dated now, could use some refurbishment... In saying this, it was comfortable enough, staff were friendly and accommodating and the views are amazing. Looking over the pool and over the parklands to the river is very nice. It is a quiet end of town apart from the family above us that were the noisiest I think over every experienced!! It was just a pity our two days were rather windy constantly, we didn't get the use of the pool we wanted to. The restaurant was nice, having breakfast included was very, very handy!!
This is very tired hotel. I’ve stayed at cheaper IHG properties in Perth and had a substantially better room. The walls are thin, the elevators small, no dedicated shower and the bathroom has nearly no ventilation. Best thing about the room was the shower head which provided a high pressure spray of water. We notified the front desk of 3 issues with the room after our first night of three nights - and none of the issues were addressed. I’m unlikely to stay at a Crowne Plaza again based on this experience.
Stayed on business. Rooms were comfortable but felt dated. Food at dinner and breakfast was quite good. Mixed feelings regarding staff. Most were friendly but several had trouble understanding meal and drink orders which needed to be repeated several time. Was not able to understand why bills could not be split across rooms and treat the sitting arrangement as separate tables. This was inconvenient when travelling with others for business.
April 8, 2023, we ate breakfast at the hotel. The food was delicious and fresh. Everything was cooked perfectly, from the flaky croissants, beautiful presented big breakfast, crispy bacon and perfectly cooked eggs. I would highly recommend this beautiful breakfast to anyone who wants to eat something delicious and beautiful to eat. Clean room, beautiful view of swan river, quick service and excellent choices of menus and drink. Highly recommend. Rooms: Clean room Food & drinks: Excellent breakfast and room service menu,
