Excellent facilities. The staff are helpful but also willing to leave you alone if you’re just there to have a hit.nnThe machine:nIt’s a 28 ball self feeding machine that can go up to 145km/h. I started at 80km/h just to get a feel for it, ended up at 115km/h after an hour. The machine can be adjusted to change the line and length, which is great for finding those weak spots and really working on it. Generally every ball will have the same line and length it’s about a 1-3 centimetres difference each ball I would say.nnReally good at working on specific shots. I found that once you set the machine up in a certain area that it’s just easier for you to move around opposed to realigning the machine every time you want a different line or in some cases length.nnAlso could see how using this machine is beneficial in building up confidence for new players, you can just put the ball in good spots and find the sweet spot of the bat every time.nnI would say one-two people per machine is probably ideal, a 28 ball session takes about 15 minutes, so about four sessions per hour, any more than two batters and I don’t think you’d get enough out of it.
I would rate the place a 5 star for their facilities and equipment. The cafe & dining area also offers alcoholic beverages for adults. Coffee and party food was good with great options.nHowever as we attended a party here, duly for host we got I’d rate it a 1 out of 5! Although Kids really enjoyed themselves, shame the party host lacked enthusiasm and professionalism. She looked like she had no interest in working with the young children and just sat staring into space while the kids did their own thing. There was no planned play as you would get elsewhere for a booked party event.nOverall the gym area, play areas, equipment variety and seating arrangements are great.
Not a bad place and should be a higher score, but for some young lad that works there miserable, lazy bad attitude..nnUpdate.nThe matter was dealt very promptly by the management, who were very apologetic about the one off episode.nWe have had a return visit and fantastic time.nChanged from 2 star to 4 star.nThanks.
Very large sport facilities for all ages. Big carpark outside. There is a coffee shop. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Epic Gelwars in Adelaide, simply what a great day out. Came down from Brisbane as heard these guys are great and was not disappointed. Great course and love the fact they change it as you go from round to round. Most welcoming to new people and the know their industry very well. Love the Zombie round omg that was a blast.nnCan’t wait to come back down for another great day out.nThanks
