We were passing through Cranbourne when we came across this beautiful masjid, truly a hidden gem! We stopped by for prayers and were pleasantly surprised by how family-friendly and well-maintained the space was.nnThe facilities are excellent: there are clean washrooms for both men and women, with hot and cold water available. The prayer area is peaceful and includes a soundproof room that’s perfect for anyone who wants to pray quietly or with minimal distractions.nnThis place is lead by Imam Khalil, he is so learned and much involved in the masjid and program, give us a visit which was very overwhelming and I haven’t seen it in many masjid around Australia.nnWhat stood out the most for us as a family was how accommodating the masjid is for kids. There's a designated play area to keep little ones engaged, which really makes it easier for parents to focus during salah.nnOn top of that, they even have recreational facilities like boxing and table tennis available something you don’t see often in community spaces like this.nnOverall, it’s a thoughtfully designed masjid that really caters to the needs of both individuals and families. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!
This is the greatest Muslim community facility I’ve seen so far, lessons for kids during the weekends, gym available during the prayer times for members, active community support members and volunteering opportunities. Definitely deserves the support for the first mosque in Cranbourne. Hopefully the concept of the mosque grow and expand to other facilities.
Cranbourne Masjid is a beautiful and well-maintained place of worship, perfect for families! It has dedicated areas for brothers, sisters, and children, making it a comfortable and welcoming space for everyone. The separate wudu facilities are clean and convenient.nnParking is never an issue, with on-premises spots and plenty of off-street parking available, especially after school hours. Plus, its location is ideal—close to the shopping centre and public transport, making it easily accessible.nnMay Allah bless this masjid and everyone who maintains it! Highly recommended for the local community and visitors alike.
A Tkfiri Musallah, seen as a mosque. Parking blocking driveways and nature strips where four wheel walkers are bound to use the middle of the road. They simply don’t care. Millions taken to convert the place to a double-storied mosque like Hallam or Dandenong but 5 years elapsed nothing happened except renovation of a small room and toilets. The committee members are immortals and Imam says ideas are not welcome only $ is welcome. Afterwards, promise n practice of 20 becomes 8. Moazn decides what is deen n what not, comes in three quarters. Khalil sab can’t wake up for Fajr.
Obverall The Best Muslim Community in Cranbourne. Everything good but as a stranger i need to give ADVISE to some nonsense brothers who pulling me during solah to the left side.. i start second saf with the middle at the back of imam. I think im doing nothing wrong. Knowledge can beat EXPERIENCE OLD MEN bro.nnCan your AUTHORITY give R3MINDER & improve knowledge please. It happen3d to many times.nnThe Correct Way to Align in Congregational PrayernShould a man look to his right or his left so that he can make the row straight?nnThe Sunnah is for the Imam to stand in the front, in line with in the middle of the row , then the rows should start from behind the Imam, not from the right hand side of the mosque or the left, as some people do. Rather they should start from behind the Imam, then the row should be completed to both the right and the left, so as to follow the Sunnah of having the Imam in the middle.nnBased on this, then whoever is in the right half of the row should look to his left and align himself with whoever is on his left and whoever is in the left half should look to his right and align himself with whoever is on his right.nnThe Proper Foot Position in PrayernWith regard to the gaps between the feet , the worshipper should stand in a moderate fashion, neither standing with his feet together nor making them too far apart, because the further apart he makes them, the further his shoulders will be from his neighbour’s shoulders. Making the rows straight and compact is achieved by standing foot-to-foot and shoulder-to-shoulder.nnMistakes in Aligning Rows: Going to ExtremesnShaykh Bakr Abu Zayd may Allah have mercy on him said:nnOne of the new things that we see some people doing, with no evidence in Shari`ah, is that in prayer they try to align themselves with a person on the right if they are on the right hand side of the row, or to align themselves with a person on their left if they are on the left hand side of the row, and they turn their feet inward so that their ankles are touching the ankles of the people next to them.nnThis is something for which there is no basis in Shari`ah and it is going to the extreme in implementing the Sunnah. This is wrong on two counts.nnThe alignment of the row should begin from where the Imam is standing. Whoever is on the right of the row should align himself by looking at those who are to his left i.e., closer to the Imam. Thus the line will be straightened and the gaps will be filled. Alignment is done by lining up necks, shoulders and ankles, and by completing the front rows.nnBut to try to spread the legs wide and turn the feet inward so that one's ankles touch one’s neighbours’ ankles is an obvious mistake and an exaggeration, and a new interpretation which is indicative of going to extremes in trying to apply the Sunnah. It causes annoyance and is not prescribed in Shari`ah, and it widens the gaps between people standing in prayer.nnThat becomes apparent when the people prostrate, and when they stand up again they become distracted in trying to fill the gaps and turning their feet to make their ankles touch their neighbours’ ankles, which makes them miss out on what they should be doing, which is to make the toes point in the direction of the Qiblah.nnDoing that is like competing with one’s neighbour and trying to take his place. All of that is not prescribed in Shari`ah. End quote from La Jadid fi Ahkam As-Salah, 12. 13
