I would like to say thank you and encourage the entire team of countdown pharmacy in Newtown and Wainuiomata with my reviews. I know these days are really busy for them, but these people are serving community without any hesitation with full empathy. Here I would like to shoutout for both teams who worked on 13Jul2022 late shifts. Thank you guys. We need heroes like you.
There is one assistant there who argues with you, pretends she's qualified to say no to repeats and yells when she cant get your name correct. Like every interaction...... can't believe she us still employed! The other girl is awesome as is the friendly female pharmacist.
Currently closed Saturday and Sunday but a great and convenient store within a store!
I’m really impressed with the service and convenience of Countdown Newtown Pharmacy. They always seem to be busy however at least you can pick up the odd item for tonight’s tea while you wait or sit in the customer chairs if you don’t need to. I also appreciate they don’t clip the ticket with faxed prescriptions like some pharmacies do. Good service too; while I was waiting for my script, the pharmacist took real care and attention with a customer who was getting medicine for his sick child even though they were busy. Great hours too, although I hope they get some downtime!
Absolutely terrible service. I find the staff unkind and unempathetic, both with others and me. They don't call your name, make you wait for meds, serve others before you, don't ask if you've ever taken the meds before, don't give you a leaflet of the medication. I would never go back if I didn't need to.

Absolutely appalling service here. My husband's prescription was refused so we had to go to the late night pharmacy down the road. My husband is in a lot of pain and these idiots refused to fill the script. Much better service else where do not bother going here. The $2.50 prescriptions might be tempting but the service is disgusting. I have NEVER heard of a pharmacy refusing a prescription. This place is a joke. I hope they close down soon.
Don't bother with this place! Live close by so been 3 times, each time pharmacists have failed to deliver. Recommended by staff at hospital for my Dad's meds. Went back after 1 hour to be told they didn't have 2 of the medications. Second pharmacy in Newtown - all items 15 minutes. Cream to be made up for my son, they refused to make it so I had to go elsewhere. I will not be going back.
Waste of time and effort using this Pharmacy. Never again! No workable processes in place and appalling customer service . Chaotic. Disorganised. Off-hand staff. Don’t have stocks. Don’t answer the phone. Go elsewhere folks and save yourself time and stress.
Very ill and had eyes rolled at me when I requested my script. This is terrible customer service. Be nice to people!
