Good customer service. The staff are friendly, helpful and caring. The parking can get really on the weekends, but totally worth it. The food court is definitely my favorite part of costco though
Visited Costco for the first time at the Docklands location. Be warned, they have their own, free for 2 hours, undercover parking. But ONLY for COSTCO members. You need a COSTCO card to enter via the boom gates. We weren't yet members so had to park at the nearby Woolworths carpark, also free for only 90 minutes, then paid. Docklands is a very busy, cluttered area and navigating around can be tricky. You cannot enter COSTCO, even to look around, unless you are a paid up member, $55-$60year, or a guest of a member. I must say I found the "joining" experience extremely unpleasant. Staff were very busy both with new registrations, customer queries, and shop returns. The need to supply Passports, drivers licences or other ID, ABNs for business membership, have an Identity photo taken etc. quite intrusive, abrupt and unexpected. There are no explanations we could find at the registration area to let us know what the process required, and no explanatory brochures either. This is not the place to come for a few odd items. You come here to buy large quantities of things. A large number of items are recognisable brands, in bulk quantities, and a lot of COSTCOs own brands. You can buy jewellery, diamond rings etc, with some items over $5000.00, gold bullion, a 500gm ingot for around $43,000.00, Coffins, Car tyres, Garden Sheds, clothes, shoes, fresh groceries, baked goods, meat, dairy, wine and spirits, cleaning products, whitegoods, appliances, Apple phones, computers, cleaning products, automotive items etc etc etc. Almost anything you can think of. Plus 2 of the Melbourne COSTCOs sell discounted fuel, in Moorabbin and Epping only. Not everything is cheaper though! Some branded items are very slightly cheaper, so considering the inconvenience of paying and having to carry and find storage for large quantities negates any saving. However SOME items are a lot cheaper, real savings are available if you know how much things cost "outside". We bought a few of their heat and eat, prepared meals, Chicken Tom Yum soup, Quesadillas, Chilli Con Carne, Pork Knuckles, etc. So far each has been really delicious, home cooked/restaurant quality, and I think good value. This is a huge barn of a place, and just walking around the entire store, with the giant sized trolleys, can be exhausting if you don't know where everything is. Definitely the place you can go to for a big shop up, or if you have a large family, business etc.
ORDERED:   Slice Supreme Pizza $2.99 Twisted Churros $2.99 REVIEW: This review will only focus on the food. The supreme pizza is doughy, with the toppings of olives, capsicum, mushroom and meat placed on top of the melted cheese. This creates a really muddled flavour because nothing is cohesive. Coming in a really generous serving, it's a handful to eat. Churros were also extremely generous. The seasoning is great, but the dough tastes off. Chewy, and without the crunchy outer edge and fluffy insides. It's probably edible if you bring it home to toast it again... but eating in the food court at Costco is not a great experience even though it's awesome portions for the price. You can step outside Costco and enter District Docklands, which has a plethora of edible food. Which is worth the money.
I’m giving 2 stars for below reasons, last Wed on 28th of Sep we went to Costco on Docklands and did some grocery shopping. I love their mandarines especially those murcott ones. Grabbed a pack went home, put the mandarine pack away. The following two days I have opened and ate 2 mandarines nothing suspicious was noted. Then later on Saturday I wanted to wash them and put in the fruit basket, what I discovered was that they where covered in mold The thing is the ones that were in the middle part, facing inside were full of mold. Please be warned and check the fruits or vegetables that are prepacked for you!
This is the hardest review I have ever done… how many stars.. why… but on this occasion it was different to the last visit. So my review will be based on a variety of stand out times.. Start with good Food samples… on any given day there is food being cooked and chips and chocolates given out as samples. Some days lots some none. Kids love it Food court… Not a huge selection but decent food and great prices Negatives Food court… Can be a wait on orders, also annoying can be the search for a table. Food quality when busy is an issue Parking… Again peak times parking is a def issue Waiting for lift can be frustrating Having to queue when paying! Omg if you only want one item And your stuck behind a shop keeper buying all of Melbournes water and paper towels in one transaction is a type of frustration that I have never experienced in any other part of life Having to pay to be a member!!! Still not convinced it’s value for money. And yet I pay year on year out
This rating is only for the food. This is our go to for snacks on grocery days. Everythings' good for the price. Will rate this 5/5 only if they change their straw supply. It is so thin that renderz unusable. Everytime I order milk teas, it breaks and i had to use a spoon tk get the boba out. I might just start bringing my own reusable straw.
If you need something in bulk and have large family or running some kind of business than go for it. Otherwise I would never recommend here. Price are almost same for most of the products and I think if you buy more in stock you definitely should be down priced . Yeah !!Toilet Paper are indeed cheaper comparing other groceries. I believe thats among the good things most of the people like going Costco. BTW They never run out here. And while talking about good things, they are well organised and very helpful. My customer service experience went pretty well.
Great savings Easy to drop in after work Easy access by public transport or by car 5pm weeknights I always find not top busy or crowded Always friendly and helpful staff Very clean Staff constantly all areas Toilets clean and tidy Great variety in Cafe and cheap prices Great for catering
"I love Costco! It's the perfect place to go for all of my bulk grocery and household items. They have a great selection, prices are very competitive, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The Docklands location is especially convenient, as it's close to my work and home. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality shopping experience."
Nice place. Heaps of sports clothes but hard to find the size you are looking for. Huge cake
