Great location.nnThought we would kick off my birthday treat week with a large sushi platter. Disappointed it only fed one person instead of two.nnPaying the equivalent for a sushi platter to share in Melbourne would have been more than ample for two.nnNot satiated in the least.nnPlus we opted to sit at the window bench which meant table service wasn’t an option for us. We had to place our own order at the bar. Such an odd and random rule especially when there were so many staff on the floor.nnThe breeze sitting in the front window was lovely though so well worth the effort to place our own order at the bar to enjoy the view of the world passing by. And the view across the road is one of the most spectacular in Australia.
I had a deeply upsetting experience at Coogee Pavilion recently. My group, which included five girls and one boy, was denied entry for no valid reason. The boy in question is slightly autistic, but he was not intoxicated, he adhered to the dress code, and his appearance was neat and clean. Despite this, security refused to let him in, without providing a clear or valid explanation. When I asked for clarification, the security staff were unhelpful and even rude in their responses.nnThis situation is incredibly concerning, not just for the lack of transparency, but also for the apparent discriminatory nature of the decision. It’s beyond me why he was singled out without a reasonable explanation. We are all locals and, as far as I can tell, treated unfairly. It’s disheartening to see how such power is wielded with no accountability.nnThis experience will not go unnoticed. I intend to raise awareness about this through all my social media platforms, as I believe no one should be subjected to such unfair treatment, especially in an environment that should be inclusive. Coogee Pavilion has a responsibility to ensure all guests are treated with respect and dignity, regardless of any differences. I plan to continuously spread awareness through for as long as this establishment stands.
Fantastic bar with incredible views down over the beach and sea. The atmosphere is brilliant with the music and there’s a decent mix of seating including stools along the edge wall. Service from the bar is quick and prices reasonable given the prime location. One of my favourite spots in the area!
Went here for lunch after spending some time at Bondi Beach. The view from the rooftop was spectacular -- the beach and the Dunningham Park. Loved the flat bread, hummus and lamb belly and paired them with a glass of shiraz. Enjoyed the sea breeze gently touching my face. Certainly an awesome place.
It was a great place to celebrate my birthday and enjoy working from this place the next day. The chefs done a great job with Pizza, really nice authentic pizzas, awesome vibe on all floors and great rooftop specially during the day with nice view over the ocean
