Proudly Australia's oldest Aboriginal art gallery. Our second location here in Paddington opened in 2016.

"Established in 1981, the gallery is an important cultural destination in Sydney. Cooee Art runs a hybrid art model to represent and support artists in an ethical and forward-propelling way. The premium 480sqm gallery and auction space is located in the heart of Aboriginal Sydney, Redfern, offering a unique and informative insight into the world of Australian Indigenous art.Since first working with Aboriginal artists forty years ago, Cooee Art has presented the finest First Nations art through exhibitions and events in Australia, Europe, and the Americas. Cooee Art is Australia’s oldest exhibiting Indigenous fine art gallery."

Cooee Art Gallery has an amazing collection. I came to find out when I was searching for works by a particular artist I couldn’t find anywhere else at that time. I will definitely make an appointment when I’m in Sydney but I’m afraid my bank account won’t take it kindly . I must add they are great to deal with too and the piece I ordered was shipped to Melbourne within a short time.
