Great bakery, lovely friendly helpful staff, very rarely left waiting to be served.... Coffee great, Jam Donuts lovely and fresh with plenty of jam, very tasty Ham Cheese Tomato Toastie in sourdough. Pricing reasonable...indoor outdoor dining, no public amenities, they are in park, just up past Woolworths Supermarket tho....
Had friends up from Mornington on the weekend, and decided to go to a local bakery. Was a good idea and we hadn’t been in there for a year or so. Called in Sat and it had been changed since we last went in. We were all impressed and loved their choices of slices and cakes. Service was prompt and friendly too. Highly recommend.

Hubby and I had a late lunch at Connells Bakery in Wonthaggi. Awesome food selections well presented...in the food cases...staff are very patient and helpful, as we had a question...quite obliging really...love the food quality served and sold at Connells Bakery in Wonthaggi.
Great food,wouldn't say it scheap,but u definitely get what you pay for,pies so full of real meat and the pastry is so nice too,muffins big and tasty,coffee spot on and staff happy and chatty
Some places find it hard to just execute something as simple as the bacon and egg roll. Not Connells. Great bun and I loved the addition of BBQ sauce - a good example of a simple treat done well. Was a bit pricey at $10 I’d expect a slice of cheese in it for that but over all I was happy with it great work guys I look forward to trying one of your neenish tarts that looked healthy indeed
Had the bacon, egg, spinach, tomato relish brioche roll. Tasted good. Was pretty pricey and set me back over $15 for the coffee also. Don’t get impulsive if the item in the window doesn’t display the price. Staff were very friendly.
Well before today I would have given them 5stars. Today staff rude we have been going there as a group at least 4 or 5 times a week for coffee and morning tea and social chitchat over the past eighteen months. I was told at 8.45am that we were no longer permitted to put tables together and to sit at other tables in the middle of the room. We always put the table and chairs back to its usual place. This means sitting in uncomfortable chairs under the air conditioning and not by the window. Maybe they are trying to get rid of the oldies and try to encourage other clientele. Oh maybe it's because we remarked last week on the dead blowflies in the window that have been there for at least ten days. Staff have become very unfriendly and the food is no longer great. Coffee orders always wrong and not hot. Orders mixed up Or forgotten. Or maybe it was the burnt sausage roll that was sold to one of us last Friday. Rude and ruder now. Connells you are no longer a great business.
