The branch is always busy whenever we wish to make an inquiry. We understand if they are busy but they could advise us better estimated waiting time so we don’t waste our time for waiting. The lady Anita didn’t apologise but just asked to listen only. Or could they arrange a booking for better time? Very rude and inefficient service.
I waited 1 hour 45 minutes to send an International Money Transfer. I was charged 30 dollars for the privilege. I was contacted by their fraud department to confirm that I meant to send it. Yes I did. I asked if it was held up, they said no. It was being processed normally. This was about 5 days after sending. I received news from the people expecting the money that it hadn't arrived after a couple of weeks. I went into the bank in Carlingford. Without looking anything up they said it can take a few weeks. I rang again after about a month. After a long phone call insisting on a meaningful reply I was told there was a problem but it wasn't their place to tell me what it was. They gave me another number. Remember how long we sit on hold, and have to wait every time we try to contact them? I eventually got through to the number. In succession I was told I had the wrong number, this was a 'back room' number, ie not available to the public. Then that I didn't make a money transfer. When I read out the details, she agreed I did but that it had failed ON THE FIRST DAY THAT IT WAS SENT, A MONTH AGO. Nobody bothered checking. I was told by the branch that I would get a refund of the $5000.00 that I was sending that had never in fact been sent, and the $30.00. I had wanted to do the transfer via the bank even though it is cheaper to do it online because I have been hounded by scammers lately, who know some details, but not all, of my commonwealth bank details. I ended up going a few doors down to the NAB where a man sat next to me on the computer and showed me how to do it online. It arrived at the destination in 3 days and I was charged 5 or 6 dollars. There was no queue and their interest rates are better than the commonwealth. I have rung every day for a few days now, and despite the recording saying they will ring back by the close of day they don't ring. There is no way I am paying thirty hard earned dollars to people who just fobbed me off for a month. I have had a Commonwealth Bank account of some sort for about 60 years, and I am not going to be the one sent packing.
I went to cherry brook and other branches no body can explain my problem and solve the issue. But chad chang he explained in efficient way and very polite.
All phone calls to the CBA Carlingford NSW 2118 branch diverted to message bank. No one called back by close of business as promised. Very disappointing.
Hard to understand accent of customer service person. No clarity on processes ...long wait
Ridiculous for a big 4 bank to close during lunch on a weekday. When asked, why this is, the reason given by the staff member - “for COVID”
Rushing to branch 15 mins before closing , with a long queue in front of me. The team stayed back for me for almost 20 extra minutes to close the transaction before my deadline. Transaction need 3 different staffs to proceed I see people complaining the wait, should understand this is very busy branch. Good service, CBA customer of 15 years, will stay with them !
This is one way how the biggest bank in AU maximizes its profit today announce a $8.6 Bn record profit : keep on reducing branches, service counters and substantially cut back the atm machines..... Last week, the carlingford branch atm was out of order, customer was advised to go to their atms in eastwood/pennant hills /beecroft 3.2-4.5km to draw cash. The Bank is ripping off customers by delivering lower level of services.

I not sure if the Commonwealth bank still has employee of the month awards, if they do I would like to put forward Stephenie for her wonderful help and attitude that she provided in such hard times. I like to compliment Ms Stephanie Kang of the Carlingford branch on her caring and helpful service . I went to the bank to inquire about my non receipt of my new debit card . Not only she take the time and effort to arrange the issuance of a replacement card, she guided me step by step in setting up the Banking Apps and how to activate the Digital Wallet. Stephanie impressed me with her quality service. As a retiree who also supports other banks at Carlingford Court, I have to say she is outstanding. OTL
