Awesome food, best beef schnitzel I've had in the long time! All the food that came out looked so good with massive portions. The garlic seafood topping I think it was called Neptune topping was sooooo good. As a whole the pub lacks a little atmosphere but it he food is awesome! Recommend for a stop.Service: 4/5
While the dining room toilets and bar are showing their age, the food was good and well-priced. The cook was attentive and prompt serving our food.

Definitely a must visit if you’re staying in or just passing through Burra. A warm welcome, chilled atmosphere and great food - you will feel like a local. Partner had the beef ribs - and OMG they looked and tasted delicious!! I had the fish & chips special which was on this particular Saturday served up in a really cool old school way - in newspaper- absolutely loved it!! Kudos to the whole team @ the Commercial. Thank you for making our visit memorable.
It was very quiet when we came, we were the only ones eating while there were few people in the bar. Ordered burger and chips, also their eye fillet steak. Foods took a while to come even though we were the only customers. Staff was friendly. Portion is very generous with the chips and burger, but my eye fillet is small, obviously steak is expensive. However I can’t tell that it is from a good cut, to me it was just ok, definitely not the best steak I have had. I like their mushroom sauce though and the salad. Overall okay feed, but the place need refreshments since it was a bit dark inside and old, a bit depressing and not the most inviting place to eat at.

Dropped in here with 2 other families, total of 16, no booking and we had the best pub lunch!!! They put us in a seperate dining room due to Covid restrictions and reassured us we were no bother. It Took a while for the seemingly only bar staff member to get all our orders, taken at the tiny bar space however, the quality, size and price of the meals were amazing! $10 for kids meals huge serving Chicken schnitzels hanging over the edge of the plate. Good selection of beer on tap including alcoholic ginger beer. The cook on duty that day 5/1/22 did a brilliant job! Thanks from all of us!
Wow just wow if you went away disappointed with the service & meals you have to be very hard to please. Bar lady,young ladies delivering meals delightful, meals beyond scrumptious credit to chief.A few hotels to pick from in Burra was so glad we chose this one. pat on the back for all.
Great food big meals good price.
A quick luncheon in a country pub. Sometimes a lottery. This time a winner. Welcomed at the first moment we walked into the quiet, cool country front bar. Looks like it hasn't changed in years. Very comforting. Menu a broad selection & well priced. It was a warm day so we ordered a couple of beers to sip while we waited on our lunch. Best beer I have had in ages! Food was no let down either. Meals made in the kitchen, not from a supermarket. Properly cooked & filling. Would love to have spent longer there. Will return.
