Had my hair chemically straightened and so pleased with the result! This is the third straightening I have had done at Comachi Hair Salon and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The staff are so friendly and accommodating and offer the best customer service compared to other salons I have visited for the same procedure. I always have Mayuko attending to my straightening and the results are always perfect.

TL;DR - Friendly, good quality, reasonably priced hair salon especially if you have Asian hair. I have been having my hair cut at Comachi for the better part of two years now. Simply put, there is no other place in Cairns that is able to understand the peculiarities of Asian hair. Plus, they actually understand what a simple haircut is a rarity these days as salons try to outdo each other in offering complicated expensive treatments - no fancy stuff if you don't want it. Standard cuts include a wash. Prices are comparable or better than the hairdressing chains. Having built rapport with some of the hairdressers, they greet you by name, and the atmosphere is bright, friendly and not edgy. Their English is not the best, but if you bring a photo or picture along, they will likely do your hair justice.
I just had a hair cut at Komachi. I was so happy with my new hair style and every my co-wokers said this new hair style looks good on me. Thank you so much Ms. Mirai you are the best hair dresser I ever had. I'll see you again soon. :

Have been going here for some time... love the place and the professional hairdressers...always helpful and made me feel special and well taking cared of everytime..highly recommend.
Horrible experience! The hairdresser made a horrible haircut: I am very disappointed, I asked her to make a straight bang !!!! She didn't not understand me. i am really going to cry now !!!! I paid 10 dollars for the haircut that makes me look horrible, the hairdresser is unprofessional, I think her English skill horrible, don't recommend any one to pay for their services! I will never come back to this salon !!!!
Very Disappointed. As a regular return guest, everytime enquired of a date was given with a respond of ” Fully Booked”. No courtesy at all to find alternative to fulfil request for date requested. How can you retain loyal customer?
Had a lovely cut and colour at this salon. Great service and very reasonable prices. Thank you!
