Story

Columbus at MEGA Porirua is open and ready for business. Inside the Brand new Mitre 10 MEGA in Porirua, Columbus Coffee Porirua is a passionate family business serving gourmet food fresh from the kitchen, coupled with fantastic espresso coffee from their experienced baristas. As a team they strive to provide their customers with an outstanding experience while the customers enjoy the great atmosphere the cafe has to offer. They offer an enjoyable time for all. Enjoy your coffee and meal while your little ones play on the in-store playground, and the blokes shop for their power tools. Dine in their outdoor seating area amongst the flowers.

“We have already had such a positive welcome from the Porirua community,” Local owner Korby Hall said. “We have been told time and time again that Porirua needed a café concept exactly like what we are offering. Our team are excited that we are having that effect and have obtained many regular customers so early on in being established.”

Columbus at MEGA Porirua provide a wide range of up market healthy food items that comply with their partnership with the Healthy Food Guide Magazine. They also offer Gluten free and dairy free options and are very flexible in adapting meals to suit the customer.

After building a successful Multi award winning Columbus Coffee café in the Mitre 10 MEGA in Kapiti, they decided to expand their venture into the Community of Porirua.

“Working closely with Mitre 10 MEGA Porirua, our plan is to be a big part of the local community here in Porirua. We have also partnered with WOF CrossFit in a mutual vision to provide the Porirua community with healthy lifestyle options when it comes to healthy eating and exercise. Another partnership we are exciting about building, is with the Mana parents centre. We look forward to helping support local parents and their children in many more ways than food and beverage. Working closely with the Mana parents centre will help us to achieve this,” say’s Korby Hall.
