Seen a doctor Doug Scott I think is the name, he was very unprofessional, was not happy with his service at all! Come in with sciatica, his response, "what would you do 100 years ago!" (Well clearly it's not 100 years ago!) And then I'm glad it's not me in this pain, I'm sure we have doctors to help our situations! Paying lots of money to be treated like a joke! Would of preferred to go to  the supermarket to get some 6 doller  Panadol instead of $40! Really think people want to be treated like jokes when they are in so much pain! I had my friend with me, she was in total shock! Will not be seeing this particular doctor ever again!

Think twice before you pick this Health Center as they are not even registered GP's. 
My wife had her knee injury examined by Karl Hellyer. Right after that the condition worsened considerably. It seems that the tests (moving her knee around) caused this. Next day we asked to have another doctor looking at it again because Dr. Karl was not available. The receptionist refused bluntly and aggressively - she did not even issue a form so we could have taken an x-ray!

We had to go to Nelson Hospital Emergency to get the urgent help my wife needed for her ensured knee.  When we said that our GP is Karl Hellyer they had a "little lough" and told us that Dr. Karl Hellyer and the other doctors of the   Health Center are not even certified GP's. They recommend us to change to a health Center with real certified GP's to avoid further problems. 
My research online (Nelson Mail 08.08.2017) confirmed that Colling Wood Health Centre is not certified by the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) because they don’t meet the minimum standards. (we can confirm that!)
This also means that they don’t get official Government subsidies and this might also affect the costs they charge patients. 
Our advice: Don’t use this health center because they are not helpful and obviously not qualified enough to get basic official certification. We will file an official complaint about them and never go there again. 
 
I think this "Health Center" should be closed to avoid bigger problems!

I have found the staff to be very thorough, caring and empathetic. My son is usually scared and untrustworthy of clinics however since being clients of Collingwood Health he is now secure and happy due to the kind, reassuring nature of the staff! Highly recommend!

Dr Karl is such a friendly and helpful doctor-couldn't recommend him enough. Also Liz the nurse is amazing when it comes to giving my children immunisations as she is very kind and patient.
