Had a fantastic experience today. The male staff were very helpful and explained where to put different items. The transfer station was so well organised and clean. I was impressed.
Guy checked my trailer, said to park next to the previous man and empty, then I get yelled at for dropping my allocated rubbish and two workers almost get in a fist fight. Embarrassing, it’s just rubbish. Ps: judging by the comments, I had the same guys as them, management look to copy and paste a standard reply and do nothing about it.
Despite being cooperative and following the directions given by staff as to where to deposit materials, I have been hassled to the point of harassment. At one point I was the only person at the facility and I was being targeted despite doing as asked. This staff member would not let up. He was rude and argumentative.
On arrival at the facility I greeted the gentleman in a pleasant manner and hie responded rude and obnoxiously. He accused me of lying about the contents of my refuse, and repeatedly told me there was food in my rubbish.
Had no idea this place existed-- thought we'd have to get rid of all of our packing polystyrene week by week in our green bin but thankfully this facility exists! They literally have two whole sacks for dedicated packing polystyrene recycling, not to mention all of the other recycling options cans, e-waste, cardboard of course, and even gardening pots!, so handy. Plus, access and use of the facilities is free! unless you bring a trailer load. Thanks, City of South Perth!
Friendly staff. Clean and well organised facility with clear instructions from staff and clear signage. Site doesn't smell. It was free to dispose of the clean cardboard and clean butchers paper we had left after moving to Perth from Sydney.
We have been using this facility for long time. Usually very good service, but have noticed that this drops away when only one staff is on duty. Surely now that it is closed Monday and Tuesdayunfortunately 2 staff can be allocated regularly to keep this facility/service in ship shape condition.
Great centre. The guys here are really professional and the place is always really tidy and well organised. The centre is not fully licensed to take all materials. 1 time I took a gas bottle in and they explained that they could not take it and why. Also I love the installation of preloved garden ornaments on the driveway in!
Great facility, nice workers, all except who seems to be the main guy. The big Louis CK looking guy - you always have to walk on eggshells in your interaction, and then he can still turn into a complete a-hole. Even his coworkers seem to curse him off, rude to them, and rude to residents I understand you have to be stern when dealing with people and their waste, as they will be deceptive, but if you have to be a grumpy and rude d-bag in your daily job, maybe you shouldn’t be doing it.
After reading the questions and answers on google given by the community and answered by the staff of the facility. I clearly saw multiple people ask about whether flyers are allowed to which the response was yes even in some occasions with a smiley face emoji. After packing the car and driving all the way there, i had a very rude staff member simply say "no it fills up the bins, you need to take it back." Complete waste of time and useless staff! terrible experience! 0/10
